Sorry if this was already addressed.

I would really love to get the Grimgar novels physically.

I was so sad when I realized Yen-Press wasn't getting this license.

They're looking into it, and are positive about it happening at some point, but aren't making any promises, and this would be in the not too immediate future. It would involve other parties handling publication likely I think.

One positive for JNovel Club over Yen are that translations are a bit quicker here, 1 volume give or take every two months, and a section of a volume every week with one week off in between. I got Goblin Slayer recently and am itching to start the next volume... But it's out in April I think. =[

I am grateful that the series got licensed :D and it looks it's in good hands, if you could get Hakomari light novels, I would gladly pay for the sub.

If Yen Press don't have the ebook license to that then it probably means it isn't available.

Yen Press licensed the novel 16th of December as per the announcement on their site. Was that what you meant?

@Korppi Actually, Yen Press licensed the manga of Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, not the light novel since J-Novel holds the license for the light novel.

Edit: Actually I realized you were talking about the Hakomari license, not Grimgar, my mistake.

@Korppi He meant Yen Press licensed it, Andiuxy is asking for J-Novel to license it too, kuuderes assumed Andiuxy was talking about the digital release, kuuderes said that if Yen Press doesn't have the digital license then there probably isn't one that J-Novel can have.

@Paulo27 I could see a future where we license streaming rights for Yen Press novels for our subscription service.
But it's probably pretty far into the future...
