Question on If someone was to make a license request post for the LNseries Maria Watches Over Us.

How would people put it why it is a good series to read/watch and why licensing them would be good. 39 vol series btw. Besides just saying it is a iconic series that revitalized a genre.
For that matter is there people even interested in it on here?

In case you missed it, there is a sub-forum just for license request topics: https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/1078/make-a-new-topic-for-each-series-suggestion
JNC started the J-Heart line so there might be people here interested in it. Girls School Romance isn't a genre for me but the anime was popular.
39 volumes and an old series is a high hurdle to clear though.

Has no one made that thread yet? Surprising.
Yuri does pretty well here (yes I know it's not "real" yuri you know what I mean), I'm sure it would get support. I think it's a tough sell as an actual license though; it's been done for years, it's mostly fan-TLed, and it's super long. Maybe a Kickstarter thing like Rokujouma was?
As for why you should support it, I'd just put down what you like about it. Other people will chime in.

@saffire It is also possible the RightStuf has at least some rights to it, since they licensed the anime.

I don't think Nozomi still has the MariMite licenses.

@someoldguy Don' have the license anymore some Maiden Japan does now and have it on hidive. They remastered it with upscaling and released on bluray while rightstuff only sold it as dvds. Rightstuff owner while they still had the license said they had tried getting the live action movie but never was able to.
Apparently on some panel there was talk from the new publisher of a english dub possibility but never happened.
Interesting thing about the right stuff ones is there are two sub versions on the dvds. The one you normally see then a 2nd one that keeps all the honorifics in.

@harmlessdave The series ended in 2012 so not really that old.

@heimdal7 nearly 10 years ago is positively ancient compared to most popular LN series in English.
