Upon checking on anywhere on the Internet. No one has already translated "Violet Evergarden" to nor release worldwide despite the fact the stories are great especially in anime (both Japanese and English dub) Please J-Novel Club, grant my 30th birthday wish (which will happen next month). Currently it had already done publishing of 4 volumes (3 main volumes + 1 Gaiden).

From what I hear, it’s difficult to license novels from Kyoto Animation’s publishing arm, similar to AlphaPolis. Not saying it’s impossible, I just wanted to let you know why in case they can’t.

What are you talking about? All of the volumes were fan translated already. Mod edit: site name removed.

@eminent Just because groups published pirate translations does not mean there will be a legal translation. In fact, it might be used as a argument to not allow a legal translation, since it's already been pirated.

Seeing as it's one of the two publishers who's been steadfast in not giving out licenses, not sure that distinction matters much. I like to have an official release that's been vetted through the proper procedures to ensure quality. But in a choice between a fan translation, and none, I will choose the former.

@someoldguy I'm not saying it doesn't deserve a "legal" translation, as you call it, but the OP made it seem like there were NO translations of it anywhere, which we know there are. The translations were quite good, all things considered.

I'd love it if JNC could license it, but that's probably not gonna happen. The Violet Evergarden light novels are only available as physical books, too.
