@smashman42 personally for me I don’t mind it as sometimes I root for a character. I definitely don’t lose it when people talk smack on the character I picked, but yes I’ve read comments of people just being a little to nutty or sometimes just plain out need help lol.

I'm one of those canon pairing type people & just enjoy the characters for who they are. IRL no-one can help who they fall for, they can only decide what they do about it once they do. So people complaining a MC "picked wrong" in fiction is too much self-insert, not enough just enjoy the damn story. If you want it different, there's always fanfics.

Emilia has what Rem will never have! Space Dandy said it best. "Believe in the backside"! xD
(I always ship the wrong side of the triangle, but Rem's fandom is insane, so I don't know if I want to hop on that bandwagon; Emilia has a Marge Simpson nagging vibe to me, although I guess she deserves to be that way when her potential hubby is
).
In Nichijou, do you guys ship Gundere or Mio with Sasahara?
Was anyone on Ichigo's bandwagon in Darling in the Franxx? I feel like Trigger is really tepid with their triangles. The wrong side almost never wins.

@terrence nope, I felt like she did deserve an answer tho but she brought not getting an answer on her self and made it worse by sister zoning herself.

I'm actually not watching it, but I did see a spoiler headline from YouTube for the latest episode but no comment from me on that, ha ha.
I was curious about thoughts here about the triangle because Zero 2 gets a really absurd amount of love from anime fans from what I've seen online, and Ichigo gets hate or indifference. I don't think most triangles are like this because most of the time it's the side character who people are rooting for (see Rem vs Emelia). Or maybe that's just me seeing what I want to see and ignoring the sensible fandom, lol. =P

I guess. But the MC sometimes latches onto a girl who gets little development passed the first few eps, while the wrong side of the triangle gets a huge amount of build up before he rejects them.
I've been reading White Album 2, and man, I don't see how anyone can prefer Haruki ends up with Setsuna, at least at this point. She just acts so annoying with her "Don't leave me out of this" attitude. And things only get worse from where I'm at (
is coming up soon since I'm up to the eve of the concert now).

@terrence oh well I do recommend you watch it. Personally for me I go with anything original specially when the original source is anime. I love original anime because I can’t spoil myself, doesn’t mean I can’t be let down either (talking Aldnoah.Zero) which also kinda can be used as an example for your reply to @smashman42. Than again it was a political thing. I’d prefer for the princess to end up with any of the two male leads

@terrence lol plz do, lmao it’s funny too cuz Sometimes I just finish reading the name so it should be freshly placed in my mind but nope. As for the princesses name it was Asylum something like that. I may have spelled it wrong which it why i didn’t in the first place 😅. But yeah you should totally do that. I sometimes wonder how authors remember names, they certainly keep notes most likely.

I could see some mecha writers letting Zero II die or enter a forced state of lengthy separation / coma (the counter to the death of the Hypotenuse). Or at least, that's what the fanfiction writers could do. xD
Anyone seen the horror anime Parasyte? Were you rooting for the girl with the psychic ability or the first girl you meet? This triangle ends... (Parasyte full spoilers!)

@terrence I've seen it, but honestly don't remember the psychic girl. Then there's the triangle in Death Note, with the Deredere idol girl and Light's college classmate, and Light, of course.
As for Zero Two dying/etc., I guess that shows the differing mentalities between mecha fans and harem fans. I'm wondering how long it's going to be before she takes Hiro for a real ride, probably in Streletzia. (Yeah, that's kind of ecchi.)

I actually need to watch this through myself as I skipped to the end to see the winner for some dumb reason, but didn't watch the path to get there.
This one is based on a visual novel... That I don't believe is in English in any form. So many stories like this and Myself;Yourself where we're likely missing out on routes by not having the VN. =[
Edit: I just checked, there's a Japanese language Dreamcast version of Rumbling Hearts (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien) available for 50 bucks, but the PC version is being price gouged since it must be out of print / low stock. I wonder if these old VNs will ever be revisited on next gen stuff? Probably not. xC
I just saw volume 5 of the manga Until Your Bones Rot, is available in English now. That has a bit of a triangle. I'm guessing that the solution will be (saavy trope reader of mystery stuff)
Anyone know if volume 6 was the final volume, or if there will be more released?

Would Konosuba count?
Despite it being tagged as a harem sometimes, and people in the book itself joking about how Kazuma looks like he has a harem, there's really only two characters we see Kazuma actually having serious romantic considerations for.

Dunno how much of a triangle forms around Kazuma though. I'm still on the beginning of Volume 2, so looking forward to seeing that as I go (dang Dendrogram cutting into my Konosuba time!).

I've read everything out in English & no developments in that regard yet, the most recent volume only caught up to the end of the anime.
