Now on Nook!
-
We're happy to announce that our eBooks are now available on the Barnes & Noble online store for your Nook device!
-
Are you not offer pre-orders on nook anymore? I have not seen any listed and even the home page drop down does not even have nook listed.
-
is there a delay for getting ebooks on nook i see other options like kindle and kobo and ibook and premium but no option for latest complete another world with my cellphone for nook
-
Wouldn't those things be a nook issue, something on their end slowing it down, rather than a J-Novel problem as such?
-
dont know i see the option on vol 5 but no option on vol 6
-
I am very happy this is on Nook. The reason being I have a Nook e-ink reader which is easy on the eyes, so I would rather wait and get them in that version.
I have noticed that Amazon seems to have titles ahead of Barns and Noble, which is not a problem as long as I can get them on Barns and Noble. This is why I am wondering if it is something on Barns and Nobles end or elsewhere.
Novels I am currently waiting for:
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Vol 5
Arifureta VOL. 5
How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Vol 2
Watafuta Vol 2 -
Hrmm, I can't find anything, but I vaguely recall a publisher saying their method for uploading to Nook and Overdrive was gone. Maybe it wasn't JNC though...
I know Seven Seas says they support Nook... But I have had a preorder on Abilities Average there and still have no book weeks after release, and the Boogiepop Light Novel is nowhere to be seen (I need those Seven Seas books there since they aren't on Google Books, and I need native Text To Speech support which the other EReaders don't have).

@terrence It becomes a game of sit, wait, and wonder.

I've even contacted Seven Seas on Twitter and they responded saying they dunno what went wrong. T.T
It totally sucks, yeah. I mean, I've got plenty to read, I just hope someday these go up like they're saying they will. Because there's no alternative for having those Seven Seas books read text to speech legally on Android besides Nook.
-
@gryphonnekw I use the Nook eReader too (I have a kindle but prefer to give money to B&N than Amazon and also like the layout of the Nook a little better). I will say the Nook is super easy to load the ePubs I buy here onto if you have a laptop. I just went crazy buying credits a few days ago and now have 60+ JNovel titles loaded.
-
@the-green-death Does it matter if I have a Mac? If it does not matter, I am willing to give it a try.
-
@gryphonnekw the premium ePubs themselves from here are DRM dree, so anything that can open an ePub can read them as is, just copy them on however you'd do it with a PDF or whatever.
-
@smashman42 So I did a little google searching on DRM Free and nook. I found a YouTube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuNdeZJ-mxU ). So, since the document is DRM free, it sounds like I can use the instructions in this video and have it on my Nook. Correct?
-
The first half of that video is for the Adobe digital editions DRM, so you don't even need to do that, just copy the file on. DRM 'free' as in non-existent, not 'free' as in borrowed from library
-
It’s really easy, just download to computer then plug your Nook via usb and pull the ePub files into the Nook folder then enjoy!
-
Just figured I would update to say "Make My Abilities Average" light novel from Seven Seas is still not up on Nook... It was supposed to release on February 1st. I got a cancellation notice on February 28th.
I just don't understand what is going on. Are they waiting for the physical release? Will they do the same for Boogiepop's Omnibuses? T.T

I thought this one was already released? But now that you mention it, at least the physical version is slated for June, the manga for July. Does only BookWalker have it currently?

I believe Amazon has it too. Maybe Kobo? But yeah, the only places that Text to Speech work on easily (ie; don't need an Apple product to use) are Google Books and Nook Books on Android. And sadly it's on neither.
Boogiepop is supposedly coming to Nook too, but only the first two manga are on there right now.

I have both a kindle and a nook and prefer the Nooks reading experience and I like to support BN but do find that more books are easily available on kindle and Seven Seas doesn’t seem to have any of their LNs on Nook. I want to buy Lodoss War on Nook and will give it a month or two.
