Is there any novel with a evil mc? .
-
I am searching for a long time but i don't find much.
And what i mean by "evil" is a truly evil unreedemable character. -
@steipnor
Some of the crap that Ainz does... maybe try Overlord? -
@caerold i had already read it.
-
Hokay...
Retired librarian speaking.
When seeking recommendations, it's a good idea to list what you have already read in that genre, and which you enjoyed and which you didn't.
There is nothing quite so frustrating as racking your brain attempting to find additional stuff for someone to read and have the majority of the items you mention be responded to with, "Already read it."
It's a waste of everyone's time.Paid staff will tolerate it.
Volunteers won't. -
Well, if you want despicable, there's always Redo of Healer lol. That guy is definitely a villain disguised as a hero. If you don't mind a rapist slavist psycho as a protagonist, go for it. No official translation, but there's a fan translation of the web novel.
For a more palatable story, I guess Saga of Tanya the Evil also fits the bill. She's just enough of a pragmatic to not mind doing evil things in order to complete her assigments.
-
Prison Life is Easy for a Villainess which is currently in pre-pub here seems to fit that bill, sort of.
-
@pcj I don't think she really qualifies.
Try
Gun ManiacVillainess: Reloaded! -
Hmm.
The LN hasn't been licensed, but the Manga has by Seven Seas.
How to Build a Dungeon: Book of the Demon King (成为魔王的方法)
The MC, Aur, is a major piece of work.
Warning: It's rated Mature, and they ain't kidding. -
Maybe one of these titles is to your liking:
Really evil:
Her Majesty's swarm.Pretty evil/tough:
Isekai deconstruction.
So I'm a spider so what.
Torture princess.
Fall of the lich.Somewhat/merciless types:
Combatants will be dispatched.
The dirty way to destroy the goddess's heroes.
The executioner and her way of life.
The hero is overpowered but overly cautious.
The king of the dead at the dark palace.
My instant death ability.
Planet of the orcs.
Solo leveling.
Reprise of the spear hero.
JK Haru.Wannabee evil:
The eminence in shadow. -
Also check out failure frame.
Summoned to another world and marked for death by the god.
Out for revenge -
@steipnor Reverand Insanity. MC was too evil that publisher/China had it banned. Story is about 90% complete, but still worth reading
-
Not evil as such, but JNC series featuring protags with questionable morality or a ruthless streak include:
- Lazy Dungeon Master
- There Was No Secret Evil-Fighting Organization (srsly?!), So I Made One MYSELF!
- Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest
-
@steipnor Try "The Revenge of the Soul Eater"
-
Since this is "Light Novel Discussion," it doesn't really make sense to recommend unlicensed light novels with only WN fan translations.
-
There's a new book with an evil mc:
The hero laughs while walking the path of vengeance a second time.
The title might make you think it's a funny book, but there's nothing funny happening. The laughing from the title refers to his maniacal laughter while he exacts his revenge. The protagonist is quite evil and sadistic, and his targets are also quite evil. The book is a bit heavy to finish in one go... it doesn't leave you with a happy feeling...
-
So far as J-novel titles go... Her Majesty's Swarm. I'm not even remotely squeamish and fall pretty close to Chaotic Neutral on an alignment axis and I stopped somewhere in the second volume because the MC was just to much for me. Not in a comic, over-the-top way either mind you. She's very logical and methodical about her mass genocide...
-
@xdrfiredogx
Volume 2 was just weird...
Volume 3 is more like 'normal' warfare and also features a couple of super-units. -
Interesting... There is certainly a lot of thought that went into the design and mechanics of her armies, so Super Units doesn't surprise me too much.
-
@robd
Ah yes, the Redo of a Healer knockoff...I actually read it. It's as bad as that sentence sounds. -
"The executioner and her way of life" might apply, but it's more needlessly grim than evil per se'.
