What two Light Novel titles and what two Manga titles would you like to see licensed in 2022?
-
Because we wanna help this one bloke on the server fulfil their one promise,
1, Akashic Records Of Bastard Magic Instructor (Memory Records too, if it's somehow allowed D:)
Context pic:
2, literally any other LN that's more likely to get licensed instead of this. .-.
But really though, it would be fun to see something finally come out of the partnership thing with Kadokawa.

Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun! (We have two seasons of this anime, someone needs to license the dang thing)
Actually, yeah, forgot this was based on a manga originally. So this would be nice.

- Chronicle Legion
- GAMERS!

For LNs, the only one I can think of is "So you thought there were no girls online". A fan of the series did a great job of translating the volumes (imo) through the first half of volume 7 I believe. Though I haven't seen any updates from them in the last year or so.

Ok here's my list; I'm going to cheat a bit because I can't think of any Manga I want licensed so I'm going to do all Light Novels
-
The Noble Girl Who Finds a Nerdy and Plain Guy Moe Thinks that the Arrogant Prince is In the Way
-
Though I Am an Inept Villainess ~Tale of the Butterfly-Rat Swap in the Maiden Court~
Bonus:
5. The Neighboring Aarya-san who Sometimes Acts Affectionate and Murmuring in Russian

Just a quick (personal) note for everyone: please post the cover images inside spoilers. It gets kinda annoying having to scroll so much otherwise. 🙏

I will continue to ask and likely continue to be disappointed but...
Seconding Gosick.
Also, if someone could get Mamare Touno to write/ finally release log horizon 12+, that'd be great.

The two novels I want the most are Saiunkoku Monogatari and Maria-sama ga Miteru (Maria Watches Over Us), neither of which have much of a chance as they're old, long, female demographic and the anime adaptations finished years ago. I think I mentioned one or the other of them last year too.
My two manga wishes are more likely: Iruma-kun (I know it was mentioned already) and Ranking of Kings. Both have popular anime adaptions that are still ongoing, and I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time. As Iruma-kun was already mentioned, I'm going to throw in another long-shot: Dear Brother. It's probably got more of a chance than either of my LN choices as Rose of Versailles was actually licensed in English, and its anime was rereleased recently.

Ah, 2021 had some really nice stuff I wanted, like Dahlia, Hell Mode, Liselotte, Kenja no Deshi and the blacksmith one.
Still, the ones I put on any nearly any survey are not licenced by anyone:
- Deathmage (https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/1105/the-death-mage-who-doesn-t-want-a-fourth-time?_=1641596972635)
- Konjiki no Moji Tsukai (https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/1214/konjiki-no-word-master?_=1641596720759)
These would be really nice. The manga of word master would also be cool.
As for a 2nd manga don't have one in mind. Instead, light novels of Zero no Tsukaima would be awesome (though that probably will never happen)

Same as last year.
Light Novels
new or long-orphaned- Kino's Journey (one can dream)
- Death Mage Who Doesn't Want a Fourth Time
partially complete
- Bookworm Royal Academy Gaiden
- SukaMoka (sequel to SukaSuka/What Do You Do at the End of the World? Are You Busy? Will You Save Us?). Yen Press licensed the EX anthology volume, with a July 2020 release, but there hasn't been any word of licensing the sequel, and I'm worried the title may have been dropped.
- Fragments of the Stars (Crest/Banner of the Stars Anthology)
Manga
- Gakuen Alice (a victim of the Tokyopop collapse)
- 鳥篭学級 or one of the other untranslated works by Shin Mashiba. His manga Nightmare Inspector/夢喰見聞 is one of my all time favorites despite not being very well known here.

@thegrimlich Yes please. The Misfit of Demon King Academy needs to happen.

I don't care what gets licensed as long as Alpha Polis finally makes translation of their LNs possible... 🙄
