How not to summon a Demon Lord vol 15
-
I've not seen it talked about but what will happen next in the series? Diablo is on a new world with Kreb, playing a Hero from another world, since his and Kreb's magic doesn't work anymore. How will this connect with the world he came from? How did Rem and Shera react when their enslavement collars disappeared? What about Horn and her collar, isn't she supposed to die if Diablo dies? If she survived that would be a clue to Diablo not being dead. What will Rose do? Self-destruct? Or will she go into sleep mode. It's not like she can return to Diablo's dungeon, it's too far away.
I think the key to what happens will be Horn not dying. But did they try to summon him again and fail? Did Shera have to marry someone else, because Greenwood needs a King to stay green. I just can't wait to find out! -

Actually...The current question is, will there be another volume at all?
This is the same author as Altina the Sword Princess, which is also ongoing.
Volume 14 is the latest volume published in Japan for either of them; J-Novel has completed Volume 14 of How NOT to Summon, and is in the process of translating Volume 14 of Altina. There's been a lot of speculation concerning how the author will proceed, but I'm not aware of anyone linking to solid information.

If I remember correctly, the author stated on a social media upload that they were going to concentrate on Altina since they have not progressed that due to Demon lord.

@custodes So maybe a year from now? MAN THAT SUCKS!! It's one of the few LN series I like, so many of the other ones are just people throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Well, those of us who like both series have mixed feelings, trust me on this.
I don't want any more delay than necessary in regard to Altina, but the same holds true for Demon Lord.
Then again, Demon Lord was looking a little like he'd written himself into a corner, so more time to consider how to open up the floor again so that it can continue for however many more volumes isn't a horrible concept to me; I don't want a next volume done hastily and have it kill the series. -
@weasalopes True, a rushed job is a poor job, measure twice, cut once. It is fun to speculate where the author can or will go next. I did find Demon Lord to be a little sad, as far as a story goes. I felt sorry for Shera, she loves Diablo and Rem but being an Elf, she will see them grow old and die while she remains relatively young (thus I reject the idea she's only 16 in Elf years, by human standards she's still a baby, would make more sense if she was 60 and just got tired of the forest and her brother's abuse). I did find it enlightening when Silvie admitted that while Grasswalkers stay young looking all their lives they are still aging on the inside.
But where can the author go next? Diablo has defeated anyone who was a threat, and the author could have just had a happy ending where Diablo starts a family with Shera and Rem, Horn and Lumachina come later, but no. He sends him and Kleb to another world? I hope this means he has some good story ideas for Diablo.
