I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! Missing Event
-
I’ve recently become a fan of I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!. However, one thing keeps bothering me in the light novels. Several times it’s hinted that Liam lost his virginity to Amagi. However, no scene is specially written. The novel is not mature enough to go into details, but usually ones at this level shows characters getting ready then going off screen before things get too intimate/graphic. I also know that many times and only God knows why, bonus/extra stories are not included in the English version of the novel. Thankfully J-Club is able to provide them when distributors like Amazon and Barnes and Nobles don’t, so I’m hoping there might be some where I can read where Liam X Amagi happened along with other bonus content. If anyone can help I’d appreciate it.

@tahu The series isn't licensed by J-Novel Club. Seven Seas isn't known for putting in the extra effort to license bonus stories like JNC. So if any retailer exclusive stories from Japan included it, you're out of luck unless you import the bonus and can read Japanese.

I've enjoyed the first two volumes. It reminds me a bit of JNC's Me, a Genius?! with the humor of the universe misunderstanding his actions and intentions.

@aruseus493 I know about Seven Seas, I was just hoping I could find the bonus content SOMEWHERE. Official or unofficial. If not, how can I get the original Japanese electronic version. I can probably use Google translate. By the way, J-Club titles include bonus content when bought directly from its store while the kindle, nook, etc do not. How does that work?
-
@tahu It works because each distribution point is supplied their own version of the ebook.

You can get the Japanese digital versions from Bookwalker Japan. But because it's Bookwalker, you can't really use Google Translate(you can't screencap their ebooks, using normal methods). No idea if those come with the bonuses.

If you're looking for something you suspect to have been part of a retailer exclusive bonus, you'll have to look on Japanese Auction sites like Yahoo Auctions and buy the physical bonus. (And import it to wherever you are, this is what proxy services are for.)
Digital editions aren't likely to have the bonus you're looking for. Bookwalker is the only digital retailer in Japan that does Exclusive Bonuses currently and it's still a new thing. Each retailer that commissions a bonus generally has their own bonus which makes it tough to collect them all.
J-Novel Club licenses all the bonuses for the series they license that they can. (They don't always get everything because sometimes the JP retailer might not want the English Edition to have it or Bookwalker US doesn't want people getting books anywhere else.) J-Novel Club selling the bonuses directly on their site is because they sell a different version of the epub than they supply to other retailers.

@aruseus493 Why the hell would the Japanese retailer not want to license bonus content? They’ll make money so what’s problem?
-
@tahu Sometimes they'd prefer to keep it for themselves, ie Bookwalker has a bonus story for Hell Mode v1, so anyone who wants all the bonus material for Hell Mode has to buy that from Bookwalker in addition to the JNC premium epub.
Sometimes the amount of money they ask for might be unreasonable. -
@georgemto I guess good books and good business sense don’t always go together.
