Clockwork Planet Vol 5? Or Is It Over/On Hiatus?
-
Hi everyone,
I just started reading Clockwork Planet and I love it so far. However, I noticed it currently has four volumes. Is that the end of the series or is the series on hiatus, etc? I know there hasn't been a new volume published in Japan in quite some time. I apologize if this has been answered somewhere else or if this is the improper place to ask this. Thank you for any info.

Apparently, they’re ending the manga publication soon since there’s no more content to adapt. Guess we won’t be getting v5 any time soon, if at all.

I'm pretty sure it's not over. It's more a matter of the authors lining up their schedules to do work on a 5th volume.
Both of them have their own series to write after all. (Kamiya - No Game No Life / Himana - Amaterasu wa Kakukatariki) -
Is JNC even finished with V4? It’s at 20 parts (a company record) and there’s still no preorder...

cries it figures another series I like that's either not licensed or stuck on indefinite hiatus, lol. Oh well, thank you all for the info! Hopefully they'll get to volume 5 soon.

@legitpancake I think Clockwork Planet has always had a higher than average number of parts. I'm not complaining about 20 because I know there's no volume 5 in the wings.

@ironman628 Still no news :'(

@kiritsuna Consider that BOTH parts of the writing team had health problems during the existing volumes, it's kind of amazing it got this far.

It's almost certainly never getting another volume.
But I also don't think it ended in a particularly bad place. There was a good climax, and a very fundamental part of the backstory was made pretty clear as well. The overall plot was obviously not concluded but it wasn't like there was a massive cliffhanger.
