How not to summon a demon lord finished?

Is the next volume for demon lord ever going to come out? Or are there more problems with amazon
-
English translation is caught up to the JP release. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for there to be more releases there, which isn't really influenced by Amazon related problems.
-
@georgemto thats good. Any idea when the next jp volume will release?
-
@apairon no announced date that I know of, but I also don't track the JP publishers/authors. Someone else might know more.
-
@georgemto ok ty i guess ill just wait and see if anyone else jumps in with info.

To the best of my knowledge , and I have been known to be wrong...
- How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord is written by the same author as Altina the Sword Princess. J-Novel is translating both titles, and I'm reading them; they're just a tad different, but both I enjoy.
- My understanding is that they are currently focusing on writing the next volume of Altina.
- It's also my understanding that there has been no official word from the author that Demon Lord is abandoned.
Bear in mind that I don't read Japanese, so while I have tracked down their homepage, Twitter, and Japanese Wikipedia pages, I haven't done a decent job of mining them for information (MTL can be kinda sus at times); what I've reported above is what I've heard from others.
They don't appear to have published these as WNs; they don't appear to have pages at Narou or Kakuyomu, and I haven't come across anything on their official sites relating to such.Just checked, their web site lists what they have published, and does have series listings in separate "Completed" and "Publishing" sections, and both Demon Lord and Altina are still showing in the "Publishing" section.
However... it looks like it's been a while since they updated the list of publications, as it's behind what's been published in English, let alone in Japan. -
@weasalopes ty i will keep my eye out then.

I love the series, watching Diablo overcome his mental illness is very inspirational.
Vol 14 really has a cliffhanger ending. Did Rem and Shera's slave collars fall off when he "died"? How did they take it? Will Shera have to go back to Greenwood? What about Horn? Did she survive? Did Rose self-destruct? Do they think he's dead and if not, what are they going to do? The only clue would have been if Horn survives, then they would know he was not dead, but they clearly didn't or couldn't summon him back. So many unanswered questions.
-
If the author ends the story there, it would be the biggest let down I've ever read. Not since Smartphone have I been captivated by a story. I was left heartbroken for the Diablo.
-
The author said that they are working on the next Altina volume.
No idea as to the progress though.
-
Aren't LN volumes 15 and 16 out in Japan? Or are those chapters not in published tankoban form yet?
I only ask cuz I saw JP release dates for them set around Sep 2021 and Jan, 2022.
-
@sleepyprinny99 There's manga volumes 15 and 16 with those release dates. The LN does not have a volume 15 at this point in time.

@georgemto
Okay, gotcha! Thnx for clearing that up! -
This post is deleted! -
@iseguy
That is Demon Lord, Retry! not How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord. -
@lurkingmclurk Thanks
-
@C-Norman-Hocker I agree, the what a cliff-hanger ending, I can't wait to see what happens next.
-
@Village-Idiot said in How not to summon a demon lord finished?:

Wow, this is the best news you could have given me. Noticing that JNC was still publishing Altina, I assumed it was an on-going series. But after finishing the latest prepubs I realized that the last book had been published in 2018(!?). I was worried that the series wouldn't continue, so it makes me very happy to learn that it's still being worked on.
-
From what I have read, there is still no news on How not to summon a demon lord. It seems that Altina is the only conversation on this vine. I would still like to know if Diablo will ever get back to his companions.
-
@C-Norman-Hocker Kinda makes sense, author probably can't simultaneously write 2 different books, so if they've decided to do the Altina vol first, they'll probably swing back to the other series after that comes out unless they're unsure how they want the story to proceed still.
