Print Editions of Grimgar and Occultic;Nine from Seven Seas!
-
@ImIlyaz They come out in the Summer.
I don't think anyone here would know about the interval, probably ask Seven Seas instead. Shipping worldwide should be a thing, gonna depend on the store you use. -
They come out in June and July, I don't remember the dates off the top of my head
-
@ImIlyaz As some others have already mentioned, it looks like the first Grimgar volume is releasing June, and the first Occultic Nine is July. As for the interval between releases, I don't believe it has been specifically stated, but I would guess a 3-4 month interval between volume print releases. Worldwide shipping? No clue on that front.

Physical books aren't like these newfangled digital stuff - you can buy it (and often even find it in the shops) even if you don't live in a country where it has been officially licensed for release.
-
If you can buy copies of seven seas manga where you live then you should be able to buy our books too!
-
@Paulo27 Ah I see. Thanks for the info
-
I'm impressed you've managed to be coy this long about physical copies lol. The info finally comes out, and I'm super excited to add Grimgar to my shelf!
-
Really surprised and excited to hear the great news!
I'll definitely check out both titles once they come out. Seven seas prints are usually top notch quality, so I can't wait to have these in my collection as well. -
-
@Rahul-Balaggan Only a two month interval between Grimgar Vol 1 and Vol 2. That's impressive.
-
No sign of it on Amazon UK at present. I'd never buy it from there but want to add it to my wish list.
-
@Rozmdan well you need to consider that the localization is basically done months in advance.
The actual typesetting and printing takes some time but two months is plenty when the text is done. The idea is that they keep pace with the ebook release pace, just shifted about 6 months. We might even slow down the ebook release a bit as we get closer to catching up to the Japanese release just so we can keep having new content for the series for a little longer. I e move to 1 book every 3 months for volumes 7-8 or so... well we will see. I might want to free up Sean to work on other stuff as soon as I can. At least until the next grimgar tank comes around.
-
Please make sure to catch all the typos in grimgar! I'm not reading it currently because I was already on volume 4. By the time you release it on print there's no going back to fix it!
-
@Bryan yeah I'm sure seven Seas will do yet another pass or two of qa. Our ebook also fixed quite a lot that was in the prepub (I'd say around 30-40 fixes) already and a few more on the v2 that's current what up.

It's up now.

Up on BookDepository too. o/

Will the 2nd Volume of Grimgar be available in Kobo?
I bought the first volume there, so if possible I don't want to have it in 2 different places. =( -
@ky0n_77 I recommend you get the premium one on jnovel for the extra content and better image quality. Not to mention you can put it on whatever platform you want since it's epub, just use calibre. That way you don't have to worry about versions and you get the best quality and bonus content.
-
@ky0n_77 I think Kobo takes a while but it'll be there.
-
@Bryan Thanks for the suggestion.
I went to 3rd party site cause I think it's slightly cheaper despite other benefits premium membership offers. I don't have a lot of time I can spare to read so I decided to go with cheaper and specific purchase. And I'm already bought the first volume there and I'm the type that prefer 1 stuff / thing to be as identical as possible - in this case where I buy the ebook. I'll consider it when there is another title I want to collect in the future. =)
@Paulo27 I see. Hopefully it will be there eventually / asap!
