One morning, Idol Otaku Yousuke Aisaka wakes up one morning and realizes he's now a beautiful girl - indeed, according to this new world he has always been born Yoko Aisaka. As Yousuke’s past life had him be the social outcast of the school, he expects to have a new start as Yoko… only to realize that in this world she’s just as much a social outcast.
Looking at his idol paraphernalia, Yoko soon realizes something: why doesn’t she just become an idol herself? She obviously has the looks, and with years of experience as an idol fanatic she can get a head start in the industry. Not to mention her favorite idol group, PLATINUMOON, is looking for new recruits…
Now with his new appearance and his great idol knowledge, he will attempt to become the number one idol.
Comments: Pretty standard series about a guy-turned-girl who wants to become an idol. It’s cute.
Second reason I’m putting it here is the publisher situation. See, the series officially got cancelled/ended at three volumes. But the author managed to get the rights to the manga and is now self-publishing continuations of it. At the very least, it could be a way for JNC to start relationships with independent mangaka, which could lead to doujins and the like being licensed too. Wishful thinking, I know.
