We don't comment publicly on licensing status or decisions. The biggest factor in deciding to pursue a license to a series is whether we think it will sell, above any of the factors you listed, though the reason we think it will sell could be related to what you listed.
Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@myskaros I have a question. since you are a staff member shouldn't your recommendations have a bigger say? An would it also have a bigger chance to be licensed?

I know that everything depend of the staff, and that the fact that we want to read it's only selfish, but I think that this novel will sell good because this Light Novel doesn't had translations and the people only had read the web novel, and I tell you that the Light novel it's very very much better that the Web and there are many diferent thing (better). Well I will wait for the day that I can read this

Coming close to a year since Earth Star basically got rescued/replaced by Square Enix. I really hope this won't go into a licensing limbo, I've heard a lot of good things about the LN and manga and I'd definitely support it.

I'm going to request this again as the LN version really deserves to be translated. It's complete has a great story and I think would be an excellent addition to the JNC catalogue.

This is one of the books/series that im always checking back to see if anyone picks. Only thing i can guess is that the Wn disfavor killed the chance of the LN getting a chance even if the author made the correct changes.

Hehe. JNC's a partner with Earth Star now... more or less. Been the case for awhile too I suppose.
