After years of thinking this is a dead series, vol three is coming out next year! 😍 the manga vol three comes out sometime this year (2022) but I can't find when.
I really enjoy this series, even if it is kind of frustrating, like referring to golems as being like dogs. Definitely not a harem story, Gol won't allow that!
The biggest problem is how utterly oblivious the MC is!! It's like a spell of stupid was cast on him because he doesn't start out dumb but gets worse as the story goes on. I hope with the long pause in writing the author will fix that. -

I’m a bit skeptical about whether or not it’s actually coming out unless you have a source that says otherwise.It’s not listed on the publisher’s website and while there are some websites that show it releasing on April 2023, that is apparently normal to see.
I’d like to see a third volume so I hope you do have a source but I’m not seeing anything on my end.

@SleepyTexan Amazon has the LN listed. Would they list an item that didn't exist? Granted, it's a long wait and a lot can happen but I'm kind of optimistic. I feel the same way about How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, been too long but I've heard that the next vol is coming.

Amazon has had that listing since the end of 2020 with an ETA of April? or September 2021 and it’s now showing April of 2023 so it’s just continuously getting pushed back.If you take a look at the Japanese publisher you’ll see that they only have 2 volumes listed so the English publisher doesn’t have anything to translate yet.
Once there is a Japanese volume 3 the English publisher will then need to negotiate the price for that volume before they can begin the translation - the former could take up to a year if on the slower side and the latter would take several months due to various reasons.
The Japanese web novel has not been updated in 3 years either.I’m not actively following How Not To Summon A Demon Lord but volume 15 isn’t finished yet in Japan and once it is JNC has to go through the same process mentioned above before you can read it.
Again, I’d like to be wrong but unless you have something like a Twitter source from the author or publisher I don’t think a volume 3 is releasing in April.

I remember when Final Fantasy 7 Remake was announced, back in 2015. Amazon had a preorder listing the next day, even though there wasn't an official release date announced until mid-2019.

@SleepyTexan Well crap. Guess I got my hopes up for nothing. Such a shame too, it had potential even if a harem was not in the cards. Gol is so cute in the manga too. ❤

@myskaros - mine was Amazon listing for Magic User: Reborn in Another World as a Max Level Wizard volume 4 as coming out in early 2021, then they eventually removed the expected date and pretended it was out of print.
Checking just now Seven Seas is listing a release date of 2023-03-28 so maybe I'll get to read it next year. I'm not holding my breath.

@SleepyTexan Sorcerer King has such a good mystery to it. Why is the MC so dumb now? Whose spirit is in Gol? Is it the spirit of the little girl who was sacrificed? Or some evil witch who was trapped in the white column. Why is he so oblivious to what's going on around him? Who's that grandma figure? She seems like a Goddess who just got old and tired and can't fight what's going on anymore, so the MC is like a gift from the fates to her.
I think what hurt the story is poor world building, there are hints that bad things are going on, driven by bad people, but not enough to really know. I do find the MC very frustrating; Gol is clear about what she wants, and he just refuses to see it.
I also think that since Gol does NOT have a mana crystal in her to provide power, I think she operates kind of like a battery, and needs the MC's mana to recharge (why she's always clinging to him). Without her he dies, and without him she dies.
