Why not get all of Shouji Gatoh's work up in here and do Cop Craft Dragnet Mirage Reloaded?

    Licensing Suggestions!

Presumably because they don't believe it'll be profitable.

As mentioned in the request thread, J-Novel Club has never licensed from Shogakukan (Gagaga), likely because they require very strict geo-limitations on their light novels. Seven Seas just released Irina the Vampire Cosmonaut by the same Japanese publisher, and even it has extremely limited digital availability (US, CA, GB, IE, AU, NZ only). J-Novel Club always tries to get global English rights (with the exception of Ichijinsha-published titles, which JNC region locks out Japan from accessing), so such restrictions are unacceptable.

@LegitPancake right, so it's basically politics preventing the world from enjoying it. sigh well, you say it's already previously been explained, so thank you so much for doing so again. I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here but it just seemed foolish and bad business to put such limitations on those works. What's to stop someone from translating those and effectively doing something I don't approve of? 🤷‍♂️ anyway, thanks for listening and replying

@PoeticChaos I'm not sure how you categorise one company's business policies as politics...

@GeorgeMTO there are such things as organizational politics employed and enforced to meet financial and strategic goals as well as live up to the organizations own values. Sometimes, such things get in the way of servicing those who support the organization.

I'm not about to write a whole novel for you though, take some time out of your day to study it instead of picking fights on forums.

I understand why Cop Craft won’t be licensed in the foreseeable future but damn it bums me out. Looks like a great series.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.
