What are you reading for Manga?

I picked up Hoshiiro Girldrop.
I believe this is an anthology of different writers using the Pop Team Epic preview characters and personalities to craft stories. So far, I've gotten through the first chapter (synopsis):
-
I just smashed through the scanlation* of ReLife because Crunchyroll has an abridged second season/set of OVAs to finish the story - first season of 13 eps = 100ish chapters, final 120ish chapters is 4 eps?!!
- I was trying to do the right thing, but Crunchy Manga never updated it and then it disappeared from their catalogue. I couldn't handle watching those 4 eps knowing they'd miss so much.

The anime doesn't even cover any couples besides

One of my favorite light novels, Elf Slave Wife, just got a manga, and it is beautiful :D
First chapter was just translated for those interested!

I'm reading Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction currently. I like Asano works, and this is definitely different than what I expected going in.
I'm still early, but it seems like the message of the story so far seems to be "Humanity is resilient and able to keep its culture going through even the worst of times... Ain't that awful? Isn't that so boring? Can we change ourselves or are we destined to grow up in mediocrity and sameness?"
Wonder if Asano is feeling pigeonholed? It must suck too when you feel like this life you're living is so constrained by the walls of society, the walls of even your physical construction (I think Asano has had some interesting thoughts on gender in the past too, right?).

I was in a Keichi Arawi mood earlier, so read Helvetica Standard and some City volume 1.
This is all a distraction from the J-Novel stuff I should be reading. xC

Finally started reading Tokyo Ghoul.

Anyone reading Satan's Secretary?
It's a comedy, but it has a bit of that Realist Hero vibe to it (the secretary is the realist who directs the demons efficiently as opposed to the frivolous ways they fought before).
Like, the human Kingdom the secretary left ends up rallying its citizens against the threat of an "oppressor" to get their minds off the king's wasty spending. Some of the citizenry would rather be under the rule of a dictator with bad public spending than live "next to a nest of" immigran.... Er, "demons".

I am reading Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs in anticipation of the anime. It’s great a bit moronic at times but I don’t wanna think too hard about an ecchi series. Also it is really funny at times, here is a little something from V2
-
Smooth... 👻
That is one ghastly imagination; the listener seems so spooked. 😱
-
@rahul-balaggan oh, that's the one drawn by the author of Koisome Momiji right?? I should start reading it sometime soon.
-
Ah, I was happy Yuuna-san got licensed, it's clearly a very ecchi series, but for a harem it's less mean-spirited than it could be, and Fuyuzora is leagues above your standard harem king. There is still technically an overarching plot, but unfortunately it moves at a pretty slow pace. There were hints that it would finally start going somewhere recently, then we got like 4 hijinks chapters in a row so I guess not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I haven't read that much manga, but the past couple months I've been binging One Piece on and off (as mainstream as you can get :P) and I'm currently at the end of Water Seven. I'm absolutely loving the hilarious character interactions and all the foreshadowing and thought that goes into these arcs.
-
@paulnamida Totally random, but as I was reading this comment thread, my anime Spotify playlist shuffles onto the ReLife OP.
-
Been reading Ramen Kenki on Comixology Unlimited and it’s everything you’d want from a Shonen Ramen manga from the 90s. I love it.
-
I'm reading
- March Comes in like a Lion (ongoing series)
- Honey and Clover
- Snow White and the Red Hair (another ongoing series)
- Amanchu! (ongoing)
