Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody with the most OP main character yet

@rerdey IMHO, the Smartphone anime was a mess. The pacing was horrible and the animation quality was subpar. It was mediocre as hell. I expected a lot better, since I really like the novels.

@paulnamida I liked the anime too, and actually it is because of it that I started getting into LNs. But yeah, after reading the LN, I can say for sure the anime sucks. They also skipped quite several important points in it. No to mention the huge spoiler at the end of the last episode.
I made a post with some of the differences at some point on this forum, not sure in which topic though...

@rerdey It's really too bad about the anime. The most interesting things happen in this story "after" the anime ends. I've been reading the LN from Yen and I've been following the WN online. The author is up to volume 16 on the WN. The LN and WN versions of the story are similar in nature but different in execution. It's difficult to say which is better. The main difference, in my opinion, is in timing of when new people arrive. I'll not spoil it for those who are interested in finding out for themselves :)

Main issue with the anime is what happens with every adaptaion to a degree. They flanderized characters and focused on the humor over everything else. This is common, but they did it to an egregious amount.
Like in Strike the Blood, Yukina is a LOT more tsundere in the violent way in the anime compared to the LN, where she never really hits Kojou with her spear. :)

@rerdey I would say that you have very different opinions than me, then. While Smartphone anime was amusing it missed on most of the world building and cute interaction moments that made me enjoy the LNs.

@jampodevral I tend to have a lot of stress in my life and so I tend to like easy going stories.... Thus one of the reason why I liked Smartphone... :-)
