      I like to read on Google Play Books, and got today's release of Volume 5 of Late Start Tamer's Laid-Back Life, being charged the full price. However, the volume that was released was the free preview of 21 pages for volume 5. I just want to know if this issue has been brought up and if there are any plans to correct it.

        That volume releases on January 25, so of course you're only gonna get the preview before the street date. You should receive the full volume when it releases, typically.

          @LegitPancake Alright, it's just me and many others were disappointed to find out the release was only a preview with no indication whatsoever, and being charged the full price. The only thing on their Twitter page about this volume is the Pre-order announcement and today's date. This is also the first time I've seen them release it like this, as for the 3rd and 4th volumes the full book was released the day announced in the app.

            @Darogn Perhaps someone put it up too early then, I don't actually see any tweets about Late Start on their twitter feed (other than vol 6 started pre-pub), so if it was up, they've taken it down.

                I am aware that there hasn't been an official release post like other novels, it's just that I couldn't find any information that this novel was going to be released in this way.

                  It's been a while since I've looked at Google Play, and the changes they've made to the site actually make it harder to locate the publication date.

                  Google Play does list it as being published on January 16, 2023.
                  J-Novel Club, however, says January 24, 2023.
                  For kicks and giggles, I checked Rakuten Kobo... which lists two dates. Down below, in the publication data, January 9, 2023. Above, where you make purchases, it's a pre-order with a January 25, 2023 availability.

                  J-Novel's date trumps whatever anyone else says.

                    Just saw that the release date for Volume 5 on Google Play Books has changed to the 25th now. I'm just unsure if I'm going to be charged full price again, if I'm going to get a refund, or if I will just get access to the full release when the time comes.

                      @Darogn You should have gotten a email receipt with a transaction number the same way as if you bought something in a game. If they do charge you again you can reach out to google with your receipts and get them to refund you one of the charges

                        @Darogn They'd register it as a pre-order now.
