Sengoku Komachi Kurou Tan (Chronicles of The Hardships of Komachi in The Sengoku Era)
-
With complete bias, I have to say if you do get the chance to read it you'll be in for a treat!
-
It has been a while, I have passed the N4 tests and still, I implore J-Novel and it's readers for the translation of this work of art.
It cannot be seriously understated how much of a gem this is.
It is. Simply. A masterpiece. Alternate History- Nobunaga Concerto-esque masterpiece.
A jewel in Japanese Light Novel literature. It is top tier.
I once again implore- beg even that this series be translated.
Pwetty pwease? UwU

Really hope this gets licensed soon because it's my favorite kind of Isekai/time travel, one where the knowledge of the future and/or technological advances is the theme rather than the MC gaining magical powers or something like that. This one seems (the few chapters of fan translation I've read) to be very based in reality and history, unlike other similar novels where there's a splash of magic and/or another world, which makes it even more interesting to me.
Reminds me of "Ascendance of a Bookworm", "Release that Witch" (not the god awful manga), a bit of "Fields of Gold" and "Back to the 60s to raise cubs".
Sure the cover doesn't look very nice, but it's the content that matters. Please pick it up.

Volume 15 came out last month in Japan.

Hello there! Bumping this underrated gem back!
This time I offer my spleen, my liver and another set of organ to make a blood sacrifice to get this translated!!!
I cannot tell you the sheer joy this story has brought me, in terms of motivation for appreciating Japanese culture and such.
Basic Review-ish
Every week or so, I keep hoping that one day this will get Translated into English- 15 Volumes- Not a single person else has lisenced it and why?
It's honestly such a breath of fresh air to re-read this after reading so many OP Isekai stories. The story's pacing is strong, the characters are unique, the plot keeps you on your toes, the kingdom building is simply:
Elegant.I want to read this light novel, I understand that there are other equally beautifully written masterpieces- but.
But. But. If you find yourself tiring from a different flavour of Isekai or Op story or what ever you might've read too much of, may be: I ask of you to give this a short read, the points as described earlier will surely drag you in and hook you with it's worldbuilding. Not a thread of forshadowing goes unfulfilled, not a moment goes by without you wondering "What's next?" until you've reached the very end making you hunger for the next page, the next chapter, next volume!
Surely, you would say I am exaggerating, that theres no way this story could be "This good". Aye. I am biased that much is clear. But it is simply impossible not to once you've read it- like a forbidden grimoire- once you've turned it's pages and read it's lines you'll find yourself transported into the Warring States and find yourself studying Japanese in hopes to read this beauty fully one day. 100% Guranteed, no refunds.
Note:
Found myself completing the entire Utawarerumono trilogy just so I can scratch this itch for Sengoku Komachi. And personally (don't murder me) I think Sengoku Komachi is even abit better than Utawarerumono -
Not to mention, We don't exactly have a Sengoku setting story on J-Novel yet. <3

This story seems pretty fun. I also hope this gets licensed one day.

Volume 16 came out this month in Japan.

Found someone talking about this one. Looks interesting.
-
I'm really surprised that the manga and light novel hasn't been licensed yet. I'd love to see J-Novel pick this one up.
-
Definitely a nice series to pick up when bookworm ends XD. Just reached the part of mopping up operations during the Asai and Asakuras in WN
