a question on the writing contest

I asked this on the discord, but wasd told it might be better to put it here.
I know someone who would be interested in joining the contest, but they're currently a minor. would they not be allowed to participate at all? for example, would they be able to sign with parent permission or something (I'm not completely sure on how this stuff works).
if they can't, could they still enter for the sake of the first and second round rewards?
if it helps, they will be turning 18 in 2024, but not until after the contest date.I wonder~?

@DracO-S-01-0 You might want to additionally drop them a line at contact@j-novel.club with that question. That sounds like it's going to get into contract law and what your country says specifically about when someone can or cannot sign a legal obligation themselves.
They should also clarify on the page what date the person must be of legal age though given there's 3 rounds and it could impact people if the date to consider is the day submissions open/close, the date the winner is announced, or something in between.

As long as the participate will be of legal age in their home country on July 4, 2024 they are eligible to participate.
