A new app Beta released for Android! Ver 2.0.1
-
@cosm1cfall Could it be, you have the beta version installed and just aren't aware off it? An update to a beta version doesn't look much different from a regular app-update.
- What version is installed on your device? The current testing version is numbered 2.0.2. The current public version is numbered 1.2.
- Can you find beta features like the new "simple mode" in the app?
- When opening the site of the J-Novel Club app in the Play Store at your device ... Is the title "J-Novel Club" or "J-Novel Club (Beta)"?
-
2.0.2
Edit: it's fine now. It was extremely choppy right after I updated it yesterday.
-
Okay so I got the beta now. I received the update prompt after clicking the join now on the JNC app page under the My Apps & Games tab of the Play Store. Initially I searched for it and clicked there.
-
iPhone 6+
IOS 11.4.1I noticed that now when I go to log in the app doesn’t allow me to access my iCloud Keychain where my JNC username and password is saved.
It used to look like this allowing me to sign in faster:
-
@rahul-balaggan Interesting. My iPhone 8 shows it both in the old version and the TestFlight beta.
-
@legitpancake yeah it is weird cause it works just fine on my iPad Pro but even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app beta it till won’t show the icon.
-
@sam-pinansky Does that happen even with the resizeMethod set explicitly to resize? If so the limit must be smaller than the display resolution.
-
Hmm I guess we’re discussing bugs here so here it goes.
I have v2.0.1 on iOS 12 PB. Everything so far is amazing(this word doesn’t even do the app justice. It’s more than amazing I’m drooling. I need to find a better word) except for two things I’ve noticed.
-
No percentage number on the progress bar on series page. It’s there while reading just not on on the chapter list outside. There’s only the blue progress bar like @LegitPancake mentioned previously.
-
I am reading Mixed Bath v3 at the moment and so far chapter 3-5 have these weird pagination issue
First page
- percentage at bottom starts at 0%
- and if I swiped to previous pages, surprise, there’s a blank page.
Last page
- ends at 100%
- if I swiped next, again surprise surprise, there’s another extra blank page.
Edit:
- Saw the issue @Rahul-Balaggan mentioned, so I logged out and yeah there’s no autofill prompt on the keyboard despite having password autofill turned on in iOS settings. Though tbh i never noticed if it is there previously since I always just copy n paste from my 1Password.

@zpb yes the beta versions have resize method explicitly set to resize now.
-
@redarx we removed the number display from the menu since it was unnecessary. I’ll look into the other issues.

Ah, that explains it. Thank you! Now that you mention it, it really didn’t serve much purpose for me except that it has became a habit to look for the last cover with number so I can continue reading from there. Guess now I’ll just look for the blue bar. You will be missed percentage hahaha

Could I get an invite for my iPad please? Thanks!
-
Every once in a while I've been seeing the iOS beta app do this when the errors are not found on the desktop version. I've only been seeing them in Dendrogram for now though.
-
Pictures seem to be working better.:)
-
@legitpancake known issue with simple mode (I think that’s simple mode?)
Already fixed in my side.
Sam P.
-
One odd thing: I tried to swap from Simple back to paginate mode. And now Paginate mode just hangs and won't ... work. And it did before. So...weird. :)
-
@sam-pinansky I don’t believe any of those instances were in Simple mode. In fact, turning on simple mode makes it almost unreadable, like a lot of <p class= code stuff pop up.
-
@legitpancake Which dendrogram part is that? I'll confirm then.
And the simple mode is fixed...
-
@sam-pinansky the simple mode glitch i was talking about was only at the end of part 12 of Dendro when the cat and fox are taking together.
The first period error I took a picture of was part 12, ~86%.
Second picture was from part 11, ~54%.
Third was from part 10, ~65%.
Fourth was from part 10, ~78%. -
@legitpancake Yes we see it.
