It seems like when you read on this site they remove all the color illustrations and other neat details that go into the ebook elsewhere. Really feels like I'm getting ripped off buying here for exclusive content, only to have the basic content available EVERYWHERE removed. They should really be included when you read on the site if you've bought the novel, otherwise they're worth less here than literally everywhere else.

Neither colour illustrations nor any bonus premium content appears in the individual simulstream part releases.

You have to download the premium epub from JNC to get the illustrations, and this also often has an additional round of editing. The colour illustrations might appear at the end of the epub rather than the beginning.

JNC should make this clearer across the service as the following recent discussion threads indicate it's not clear enough:

        https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/7456/resolved-j-novel-website-not-showing-illustrations-while-reading-on-browser

        https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/7504/missing-entire-section-in-website-and-mobile-app-that-only-show-ups-in-epub

It is mentioned in the FAQ at https://j-novel.club/faq but in a slightly obscure way as it talks about simulstream parts and not explicitly the parts you can read when you buy a book from JNC.

Edit: Premium account gives you a monthly premium ebook voucher (aka 699 credits) and discounts on getting more credits. I read most JNC books as they stream and then get the epub of those I like for the illustrations and in some cases bonus stories. This allows me to take part in the discussion of the series as the parts are being released and means I don't go as long between reading a story and makes it easy for me to try out new series and those on catch-up without having to spend any credits. Others might prefer to wait for the epub to be out and just read the polished final version and see the colour illustrations at the same time as they read the novel for the first time. JNC supports both preferences.

        Stay shiny, y'all.
