One of Kodansha panels is done with YP to talk about slime LN and Manga.Also, we usually hear vertical novel licenses in their joint industrial panel.

This is the same dilemma I had last time. I can't remember what happened though, so I'm repeating the same mistake in not knowing to add it to the OP or no. xD
Do you remember if they announced any novels at the Manga Extravaganza last time?
Edit: They announced one novel last time they had a Manga joint thing at Anime Expo. I forget what it was (was it Katanagatari?). I can add them, no sweat, but yeah, keep expectations low.
-
@terrence
They usually announce one or two novels. (Their biggest announcement was Katangatari, cover reveal of Kabuki, an Eiji Mikage's novel and last of Seraf)
It wasn't a big one in Expo, just novel of 5cm per second (novelization of a Shinkai short movie)They don't just throw lots of titles like the rest.
I always wonder why, is it capacity thing? -
Even when you look at release schedule, you will find a novel or 2 every month instead of 10+ like YP and JNC or 5-8 like Seven Seas.

Monogatari Art Exhibition is gonna have a place there.
2 events related to NisiOisiN (Now, I hope they announce Zaregoto 3 and Forgetful detective lol) -
Just giving this a little bump. I don't think anything major happens today light novel wise besides show floor presence for some (I think Vertical posted that they arrived).
Seven Seas will be announcing one light novel license today on their social media pages. Don't know when though.
Edit: Seven Seas announced Restaurant to Another World.
Hoping for more fun stuff today. =)

@terrence
Vertical talked only about novels but nothing new.
Changing title of Eiji Mikage's “Serial Killer Detective” into "Masquerade and the Nameless Women"Release date of Katanagatari vol 2 – (May)
Release Date of Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Japan – coming May, 2019
Sherlock Holmes travels to Japan where he teams up with the first Prime Minister of Japan, Hirobumi Ito to solve an international mystery.Release Date of Nekomonogatari White audio book – coming early 2019
And Art book:
Colorful Dreams by VOFAN’s – Oct 2019 -

Oh wow, more audio books?
Are they releasing any other Monogatari audio books, or just Neko? Kind of curious that they did Kizu, then nothing Monogatari related afaik, and now Neko.
Thanks for the update. =)
Edit: Should I assume RIP to Kubikiri Cycle? Or is there still hope you think? T_T
-
@terrence They announced the audiobooks of Nekomonogatari at AX, I believe. I've heard the Kizu sales weren't good, though, so I wouldn't expect too many more audio books unless they start selling well.
-
@terrence
As @myskaros said, it was announced back in AX and Audio books are only meant as celebratory release of first book of each season.Well, from previous Vertical statements, I guess they haven't license it yet...but they are still considering the series, especially with the huge pressure on social media to release (it almost reached meme status)
New license from Viz
Automatic Eve, a new Japanese steampunk novel debuts from Haikasoru in June 2019.

Also, NisiOisiN remains their biggest seller, so I expect more from him, and with Vofan popularity, I like to believe that we will see Forgetful detective series soon.
-
Yen Press said to watch their Instagram for announcements. Probably no Livestream. =(

Edit: Someone is Streaming. =D

Fremd Torturchan (Torture Princess)
TUEEEE (the overpowered but cautious hero one)

Suspecting that it's by the same author as Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor

Nope. Just saw the posts on Twitter.
Maybe next year though. It's only a stone's throw away from me (Anime Boston would be super close though).
-
@terrence damn I was gonna say we should meet up, next year if you come.
