I heard you, guys, like your slice of life and food~

I think this should interest 3 types of people:

      1. Who like low-stake slice of life short stories about people like one time, a character was having issue with eating squids, but he will have to eat them for his marriage meeting, so the owner prepared multiple dishes for him to try and get over his dislike for them.

      2. Who like food stuff like it was already suggested/implied above.

      3. Who likes knowing more about Japanese culture including this Japanese dinner/pub. It's recurring shop in many Japanese TV shows and novels too.

      Synopsis:
The novels center on a bar called "Nobu"—located in Kyoto, Japan, but with a door that is connected to the bar in another world. The visitors include denizens of the other world, and customers seek out its excellent "Toriaezu Nama" ale and cuisine.

I saw the manga in the store the other day. Chose not to get it, but didn't remember if it was a novel or no (I just saw I could rent it from the library).

I gotta give our already established food novel some love so we can get more stuff like this. =)

I find these type of work the hardest to suggest even if they should be popular around her like FUNA stuff.

It's just story about people sit around eat and drink or some girl that spits out jewelry or some guy makes a village by chance while he's trying to farm and now, he has harem that forces themselves on him.

Just too little to say to reflect what it is about making me always nervous when trying to suggest "slice of life" novel

Worth clarifying that the manga is licensed by Udon Entertainment and the first volume is already out. The light novel is still unlicensed.

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

Ah, after checking, it seems to be true.
I guess I gotta change the OP.

half the fun of the anime was "Nobu Plus" a deeper dive into an aspect in the preceding episode (either a live chef doing a variation of one of the dishes prepared in the episode, or an on location piece visiting a (real) restaurant in Japan - the narrator's comments were what made it fun)

I don't know how this translates to the written form - there would have to be a ton of plot/story line added , otherwise this wouldn't be more than 1 volume from the 24 aired episodes

if that was actually done - yea I'd love to see it

                I read banned books

I would love to see this licensed, we need more cozy food-related stories. I loved the anime, it always made hungry.
