      volume 1

      Alt titles: アメリカ帰りのウザかわ幼なじみが今日も俺を踊らせてくる
      Author: Tokiwa Rikkai
      Artist: Komupi
      Publisher: Overlap Bunko
Volumes: 2 (most recent one Nov. 2024)

      Synopsis (sorry for the MTL):

"I just wanted to see you dance again."

For some reason, I quit dancing, which I loved, and Ruto Maori's summer vacation began with kicking each other's buttocks with a childhood friend who had returned to the United States after reuniting for the first time in six years.
"Aim for my ass, and don't hesitate to kick me!"
Yes, how did this happen? My childhood friend, Yuzuki Erling Seiran, who has grown into a beautiful girl before I know it, apparently decided to live with me in my house in a homestay. Are you serious. "I want to see Ru dance again!" This
is a coming-of-age story about me reaching out to the stars again after being frustrated with dancing, or a story about my days when I am made to dance as much as I want by my annoying cute childhood friend.

      Comments:

In my extended time being a JNC fan, I have noticed that your publishing arm has fallen behind in two genres of LN, both of which are rising in popularity - LNs involving cute but annoying childhood friends who had an extended stay in America, and LNs featuring main characters who dance. Luckily, this light novel manages to do both in one setting.

Now, I am aware that romcoms don't really sell as much. But consider what is at stake here - dance is what makes America what America is today. If we don't license an LN about a cute but annoying childhood friend from America who makes the main character dance, then it's possible that Russia or China or even Germany could notice the market and create their OWN set of light novels where cute but annoying childhood friends force the main character to dance. And they would pull ahead of us.

(note: I only saw the summary and some illustrations, so I cannot say for certain that the series is entirely about a cute but annoying childhood friend from America who forces the main character to dance)
