I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin Vol. 7 delay
-
I'm used to a couple of weeks between volumes, but Volume 6 finished up on 20 Mar and we are a bit over a month out with no mention of Volume 7. A quick check on the Internet shows that there are currently 11 volumes out in Japan. Are we waiting for licensing?

@Paul-Nebeling JNC will never tell you the answer to that question, as a matter of policy. It will show up whenever they're ready for it.
There could be multiple reasons which may or may not have to do with licensing... (Or it could actually be a licensing delay).. Could be trying to fit it into a translator's schedule, still working on securing source materials, or anything else, really.

@pcj They might acknowledge licensing delays without specifying any timeframe.

I have noticed with a lot of licenses (Not just at J-Novel Club) that when an anime of the licence has come out there tends to be a fair delay until another volume gets licensed. This is purely speculation on my part but my guess is it gets more complicated to license a book if it has an anime attached to it, possibly because the licensor might ask for more money to licence it or something.

@Perplexed Interesting thought. Licenses are contracts though, and generally don't get changed in the middle. A novel getting an anime though would increase the workload of the Japanese companies, which could be a possible reason for a delay.
Licensing of "new" volumes, meaning ones that didn't exist at the time of the original contract, always takes time. Then there is the long-standing fact that we the readers do not know how many volumes get licensed per contract, but it never is the entire series unless that series is complete.
J-Novel Club has only "dropped" one series without translating all the available volumes, and that was the Japanese publisher's decision. I'm fairly certain this volume will show up, eventually.
