Raws on kadokawabooks are up to volume 17, but all I see on J-Novel Club is up to volume 12.
Can we get some expected dates for the next 4 volumes?

Official policy is that j-novel has never dropped an ongoing series. So they should eventually translate those volumes. However, they cannot specify when as there are licensing agreements to work out, the schedules of translators, editors, and even the timing of releases to coincide with the release of a new volume in Japan or perhaps an anime adaptation.
TLDR, the next volume will be released as soon as they are able.

@grillgamesh I can sympathize, more than a few volumes I am waiting on a sequel. Used to be the series were on "hiatus", but more recently, I think it is just scheduling issues, though J-Novel is doing their best.

I'll reluctantly wait as patiently as possible for new volumes of a series I like.
I'd much rather wait a few months longer for quality than have to read a garbage translation like Yen did for Death March 23.

All we can do is assure readers that we at JNC are always doing our best to get continuing volumes moving as best we can. We hope you understand that there are many moving factors in how soon the next volume of a series can begin streaming, such as legal/contractual obligations to various parties (including the Japanese author and illustrator) on the Japanese side, the usual bureaucracy (e.g. if someone has 10 things to do and only enough time for 5, then our licenses may get stuck until they find time or delegate to someone else; emails can get lost or forgotten or sent to the wrong person; there are different national holidays between the US and Japan; etc.), and freelancer scheduling negotiations on the English side. Not all of these factors are things that JNC has any direct hand in, so we cannot guarantee any kind of ETA when it comes to future schedules. We are sorry that sometimes series get delayed in the middle when there are volumes out in Japan, and we thank you for your patience and understanding!

The fact that you never dropped a series (outside of the couple of exceptions mentioned) and even rescued series when the original licensor went bankrupt is more than enough to compensate for any delay that might happen during the negotiations. Your work is greatly appreciated.
