How does changing Subscription work?
-
I'm currently a Premium member and using the yearly subscription.
My yearly subscription renews on the 1st of January. The main reason I’ve been a premium member is because of the old 15% discount, but with the latest changes, I’m considering switching my subscription.
However, I’m not very familiar with how the process works, so I have a few questions that I hope will help clear things up before I decide which tier or subscription to choose.-
Would my renewal date change?
-
Is it even possible to change from yearly to monthly subscription?
-
From what I understand, the remaining balance from my old subscription will be applied to my new one, but how does that work?
-
For a yearly subscription, would I need to pay the full amount for the new plan, or just for the remaining months until my subscription renews next year?
-
If I downgrade to a lower tier, will the excess amount I’ve already paid be refunded, or will it be automatically deducted from my renewal next year?
-
For a monthly subscription, I’m completely unsure what would happen, especially since the rates for monthly and yearly subscriptions differ. I’m most curious about how this works.

@BartzBB Hello,
I will answer your questions in order:
- Your renewal date would not change
- This is only possible by canceling your yearly subscription. Waiting for the current billing cycle to end, and then resubscribing as a monthly subscriber.
- When you go to the USER page on the main site, and then the Billing portal in your account. You have the option to change your current subscription.
If you elect to upgrade the system (Stripe) calculates the amount of time you have left and uses that as a credit against the upgrade. You do see a breakdown of what the full charge would be based on the time remaining until your next renewal, less the prorated amount. - Just the months remaining until your renewal less the prorated amount of what you already paid
- It will be given to you as a Credit, and I believe that credit is only good for your next renewal. I can't recall any cases of it being used to purchase coins.
- I am sorry. I am not sure what this last question is asking. Could you expand a bit?
Thank you
