How Long Till J-Club Catches Up to Seirei Gensouki?
-
J-Club really got me hooked on Seirei Gensouki. So much so I started reading the web novel. But now I'm at a painful cliff hanger where
From the illustrations I've seen it looks like things settle in volume 10. How long do I have to wait till J-Club reaches that? I'm willing to pay translator to work overtime.
-
Depends on a multitude of factors
Like right now V4 is broken down into 8 parts but if V5 forward are 10 parts or even 12 parts no one can say.
There are other stuff that can get in the way but I digress
I guesstimate we will be in V10 by
next year mid year.why did I think we were on V6 when I counted I even wrote V4 in my post... -
Volume 4 is currently being translated with volumes 1 & 4 being 8 parts while volumes 2 & 3 were 10 parts. Basically a new volume is published every 2 months and a half on average (not counting possible delays or other issues).
Volume 4 will be published on 9 April. So, we should reach volume 10 in roughly 2 years and a half at the latest. That's just a gross estimate though. As @Rahul-Balaggan said above it might be less/more depending on each volume's page count and the number of parts they split them into, too.

@terabyte I could get hit by a car tomorrow! I don't want to die with a cliff hanger on my mind!
-
@tahu Just stay away from Truck-kun....
-
Use Google Translate to read the WN chapter you're on. It'll probably be just as good or better than Cnine's garbage.
-
@myskaros if I'm not mistaken the LN is different compared to the WN? That's what I read around at least.
-
@myskaros
I'm not defending Cnine or anything but I thought his releases were Google translated and edited to have correct grammar. So in a sense it's basically better than Google translate, grammatically better that is. -

You'll be so busy learning to use your cheat skills in your new world that how the LN ends will be the last thing on your mind :)
I do wish we didn't have to wait 15+ months for the next 6 LN volumes though. Still, better JNC than Yen Press (double that?) or Sol Press (10 years?)

Not if you can take your smart phone with you...
And deposit copper silver or gold into the phone to pay for your membership... lol.
And now I have silver and gold (that Christmas song)dancing in my head...
And yes, I’ve mixed my isekai’s up...
-
@myskaros I did that with Watafuta. It was painful.

I believe that web and light novels will begin to diverge greatly around volume 6-7 and we will completely avoid the unfortunate development in web novel. As you wait, go ahead and read the death mage that doesn't want a fourth time, it's fucking epic.

@zing also web novel almost skip volume 5-6 of the light novel

@akamegk Please use spoiler tags....

@timmaaah oh my bad
-
oh no vol 4 release date has been pushed back XD
-
@mvpkost 24 hours extra on the Premium Edition has always been the norm, since they need time to prepare the Premium Edition.
It won’t be called “delayed” unless it releases after the 10th.

oh yeah i almost forgot about the "Premium Edition"
its because not all light novel series have a premium content that noticeable
i mean for me only having bonus interview with author or wordless illustration thats not a big deal
but its a different story if its like realist kingdom have interesting shortstory XD
