There’s almost always a delay between the Japanese release and when it starts releasing on JNC - sometimes several months.
If I’m correctly understanding comments they’ve made in the past, when they license a title, it only covers volumes released at the time the license was signed; any future volumes have to be licensed at the time they’re released, and that takes time. In addition, once the license is signed, translation/editing/etc. takes time.
New volumes are typically announced the same week they start streaming; this is a policy I totally understand, because I’ve seen way too many cases where a company pre-announces a date, something unavoidable happens and the date slips, and the fans go up in arms about it. Or else they cut corners to make the release date, and fans are unhappy then.
However, it’s almost certain that it will be released eventually. There have only been a couple of series that JNC has not finished, and those were due to the original publisher canceling the release.

There are sometimes also additional delays due to translator availability. They generally try to use the same translator for each volume of a series, so if the translator who did the previous volume is busy when the license is secured it will have to be further delayed until their schedule frees up.
