New licenses!
Fresh from Anime Expo, we are happy to announce 11 new licenses!First is Demon Lord, Retry! We’ll be publishing both the light novel and the manga for this isekai series, which has an anime airing right now!
Next we have a couple of manga, the adaptation for Cooking with Wild Game as well as Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Reckless Journey, which covers Orphen’s comedy side stories!
Then we have lots of new light novels: There Was No Secret Evil-Fighting Organization (srsly?!), So I Made One MYSELF! about a man who finds himself with superpowers, but nothing to use them on; in Otherside Picnic, two girls investigate worlds where things that you’d find as Internet creepypasta are real; a partnership with Bookwalker to stream and publish The Combat Baker and Automaton Waitress; in the girl-power story Sexiled: My Sexist Party Leader Kicked Me Out, So I Teamed Up With a Mythical Sorceress!, the protagonist is kicked out of the hero’s party because she’s a woman, so she forms her own party with other strong women; a holy knight who decides to turn “dark,” but everyone just thinks he’s gone insane The Holy Knight's Dark Road; another partnership with Tokyo Otaku Mode (TOM) to translate and later publish Beatless; and finally, a fan-favorite from the author of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord and artist from The Magic in this Other World is Too Far Behind!, the war series Altina the Sword Princess!
While Beatless will be available for premium TOM members, all these other series will be starting soon here on J-Novel Club.
But that’s not all! Coming this fall, we’ll be launching a Kickstarter to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Invaders of the Rokujouma!? by raising money for a limited omnibus print run of the popular harem series! Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!

Awesome, looking forward to checking these out.
-
Hmmmm, once again, I see nothing that tickle my enthusiasm.
-
@zing Like any buffet, try a little of everything.
-
Altina is the one I'm interested the most, so looking forward to reading it. Very soon hopefully!
I had read the first two volumes of Combat Baker long ago as well, so I'll continue here.
And as for the rest, will give them a try with the prepubs.
Given the timings, I wonder if they will be published with four parts, or just one.
-
srsly?!
Secret or. I've read Secret Org's fan (machine) translation and I can't wait to read proper translation of the series. The novel is good. -

You have my attention...

I've been wondering... why haven't you guys updated the license announcements page?
-
@doctor3027 is it this one? https://j-novel.club/announcements
I actually have the same sentiments as you, it does need updating definitely.
-
@harunachiep yes that one. I haven't gotten a newsletter in a while, but I just signed up for it again.
-
Just wondering, will we get prepubs of Beatless, or must we register with TOM?
(You know, I've always been curious about how they suddenly started translating Beatless in the first place.)
-
@shrike_al You must be a TOM Premium member to read the prepubs. JNC will release the e-books in 2020.
-
Demon Lord Retry is a nice pick up.
-
I’d like to know, which artist from magic too far behind are we talking about? Himesuz or Nekonabe Ao?
-
@dhekranh it’s himesuz
-
@dhekranh there was an artist switch at some point? One reason I dropped the series was because the art was off putting. But really I just got bored with the story.
-
Thanks, Im looking forward to the LN of Maou-sama retry!
-
@cosm1cfall Sorry, kinda late on the answer and you may already know, but here it is: I don’t know why, but around volume 7 artist changed from Himesuz to Nekonabe ao. I also am not fan of Himezus, mainly cuz loves placing this face —> o.o in the ladies, which may be cute, but feels like it doesn’t fit some scenes or characters he puts them on. Haven’t read the last volumes to have an opinion on Nekonabe, though.
-
Altina looks like the only new license I might try reading.
-
I noticed for Rokujouma it is for all 31 volumes but that should include the .5 volumes as well so there would be more than 31. Volume 32 is out in Japan also and that should be included as well to maximize this kickstarter! Just a suggestion 😁
