Synopsis: From the same author who wrote Last and First Idol, comes another hard yuri sci-fi adventure and this time it's about 18 Japanese school girls time-travelling to the past to save humanity from extinction. Each girl has a unique personality type, mostly finding out more about themselves while put in life threatening situations (this is where the yuri comes in, I would say). Reason: I saw this way back when the translation for the part 2 yuri interview was posted (link below for reference) and I thought, this might be another crazy work of Gengen I would surely enjoy if ever it gets licensed. I was waiting for someone to post about it here but I guess not, so it's time a suggestion thread was made for it.

18 personality types? Hmm, I know the Enneagram has 9 basic types, and each type can then be split into two "wings"; wonder if that's what they're based on.

So yeah, the psychology/personality aspect would be what I'd be mainly interested in.

@stardf29 that could be the case, couldn't find anything online about 18 personality types at all, like on its own. There was a mention of tackling teenager psychology in this novel as well so that's something to look forward to. Might get confusing with this huge cast of characters, at least some getting used to anyway.

Well, if it's from the author of Last and First idole, I definitely want to try it. I hope this series is as gory as his other work.

Actually, I just realized... There are 18 girls between the main casts of Love Live and Love Live Sunshine... and given that the titular story of Last and First Idol was just a retooled Love Live fanfic...

...now I wish I could read Japanese well enough to go through the character profiles in that blog post and confirm or deny my theories...

@stardf29 Now that you brought that up, I tried reading the machine translation of the profiles, some of the girls do have similarities with the LL girls but there were some that don't come close to any of the LL girls at all.

Looks like the 'Volume 2' has a different title and I should actually referred to it as its sequel in the first post 😅

@harunachiep It's now called Mega-Extinction Dinosaur Time Wars. They are promising it is Maximum Gengen.
