Magi Craft Meister
There is only one Magi Craft Meister in the world. After the death of the last Meister over one thousand years ago, Jin Nidou was transported to another world in order to succeed her will.
After obtaining the knowledge of the Magi Craft Meister, Jin attempts to use a warp gate but it malfunctions, transporting him to an unknown place. Along with that, an automata he recently restored also uses the warp gate in order to search for her “father”. Thus, the crafting journey of the new Magi Craft Meister begins!
I have read a bit of it and I can say that it is a fun series that is very laid back. In the beginning, at least it can be a bit predictable (I feel like that predictability will end) but we see different aspects of the new worlds the MC finds himself in. The main character is able to combine knowledge that he gains when he is transported in this new World with the knowledge he already posses from his old world and even if he does not fully understand some things from his old world he has the knowledge from this world that can help him out. There is the experimenting and fine-tuning he does for every new invention he brings (you know how in Smartphone Touya "invents" stuff from his world, it is kind of like that except we get to see the creative process). If the MC creates a Fridge he does not Magically create it he may be able to fill the gaps of his knowledge with the new knowledge he has gained but he still goes through trial and error to get there.

Here's my vote for this one.
Publisher: MF Books (Media Factory)
My impression of the 2-3 volumes I've read of the LN:
It's a very slice of life episodic series. The format follows the protagonist meeting different people at different places. I'm not sure how long the format continues, but I absolutely love it. It's really relaxing and fun as the protagonist uses his skills to engineer various tools and equipment where he needs them and casually helps out people before eventually leaving.
The comedy is also pretty enjoyable with the girls in the series being cute. Such as the rabbit-ribbon robot maid, Love Live Maki Clone, and even just little children. It's a fun series for the characters and with relaxing interactions. So I definitely want this one licensed.

@aruseus493 I have seen some covers/illustrations that make me think the "predictability" will end with some returning characters from the first 3 books/arcs (Only read part way through vol/arc 3 so far).
Edit: by predictability, I pretty much mean who the Villain is in each arc what the Villain tries to do and how the Villian try to stop the MC and how MC leaves.

Wouldn't surprise me as a formula shouldn't be used for an entire series. It's still great as it happens though and it can go away without people getting sick of it. For example, The World God Only Knows uses a girl of the week format for a third of the series before changing it with a unique twist, then it's gone for the last third.

I've read the WN translation up to the latest chapter available, I like this series. The fan-translation is not that great, I would love to see an official one with the same style, the WN has been translated by 6 different people/groups so far. It's quite a mess :(

I completely agree. I will happily give my money to read a quality translation of this while I pray for the day that Full metal Panic Gets re licensed and a translation starting from square one ....

I desperately want FMP! finished and actually accessible. Importing second hand books that only cover half the series with $US20 post per book isn't a very attractive proposition. :(

@smashman42 I haven't seen it with its own entry Yet on this suggestion list, so i'll have to remember to try to make one this weekend if nobody beats me to it.
-
@strykeanjel I thought the licence wasn't expired so there was no point?

@smashman42 If we're making a wish list, lets wish big and hope.

A very interesting novel, although incredible long one.
-
@silvercat422 the longer the better after all.
-
The longer the lesser are the chances of it being picked up by JNC...
-
It sounds very interesting, I would definitely give it a try.

Anyway, I think the length of a novel series doesn‘t matter, as long as you have fun reading it. What‘s with you guys and your fear of licensing/translating long running series...
-
@clarabelle Long series lose money over time. It needs to be a decent seller to be worth the time and resource sink.
