        Hello!

Unfortunately there is no set limit or minimum amount that they license every year, and there is no set word on when they will announce new licenses.

For what it is worth they did announce some titles last year around Sakura Con (they didn’t have a panel) not saying the next batch of titles will drop then though...

I believe they announced 33 titles last year (not counting Combat Baker, I am counting Hitchhiker cause they announced it in 2019, but I could be wrong I looked it up very fast)

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@rahul-balaggan Do we know if J-Novel is going to do a panel at AnimeExpo this year and what day the panel will be? I am actually going to be in the area that time and I'd like to get a ticket for the day they do the panel.

I'd like to see the panel live for a change but I can't really go to AnimeExpo more than one day because I am taking my kids to various attractions around there so paying for a ticket covering all days is a little wasteful for me.

I am sure beyond a doubt that J-Novel Club will be at AX this year, they may or may not have a booth but they will be doing a Panel. However AX has not released the schedule yet, and unfortunately they probably will not release it till much much closer to the convention (I would guess June) so the date of the J-Novel Club panel will be up in the air for some time.

Edit: I can tell you last year the Panel was on a Saturday, still no idea about this year though.

@rahul-balaggan Sounds like I may want to just bite the bullet and buy the full con pass for me and my wife to make sure I can attend the panel. Kids badges are only offered as full con passes but they are cheap.

I have never been to this Con before, will I need to pre register for the panel or is it just first come first served?

              Thanks for letting me know.

It is first come first served, the lines to line up for panels are actually outside the convention center (for general attendees, ADA & Premier pass holders wait inside)

Every panel room has its own dedicated color, and you line up outside for that panel on the colored tape for that panel room, for popular panels people start waiting several hours before the panel begins to make sure they get a spot, for a panel like J-Novel Club you can probably arrive 15 minutes before hand and you should be more then safe.
