Busy Wizard: This Warlock Just Wants to Provide for his Wives! R18+ Series

Can vote twice if you want to give a pseudo half star.
So this was a whole lot more H than I was expecting...I went into this novel without looking much into it....and thinking that it would be very similar to other isekai/fantasy harems, with illustrations being more 'detailed' and with the author following through with the 'next step' on a few of the ecchi scenes and not using some common troupe or event to avoid the act. (Maybe similar to Arifureta but on a level just enough to make it R18+)
Overall though it kept my interest enough minus all the H and I'll probably pick up the next volume as well.
Also you can get it DRM free from Fakku. -

The problem is WHEN the next volume will be out. It's Slow Press after all... I've decided I won't touch any series from them unless the series is already complete in English. I started 80k Gold only because I had checked the WN/manga beforehand. I simply can't bear to wait for 1+ year(s) between releases.

Yep, FUNA's 80,000 Gold volume 2 was supposedly "100% translated and edited" in April 2019 but still has not appeared 10 months later. Their "weekly" blog has not been updated for 3 months now.

@terabyte Very true and unfortunate, I only hope they improve moving forward. I thought that it could be signs when they released 3 volumes at once with Chivalry...but yea...
What's funny if you read the wiki the very first sentence under History talks about the founder and says:
Sol Press was founded in February 2017 by Michael Valdez, who was unhappy with the slow translation processes and products of other video game localization companies.
-
@khaos Haha, that feels really ironic. As for those 3 volumes of Chivalry, I read/heard that they had actually licensed the series more than a year before the announcement and had been working on it secretly. So yeah, it's not that they got faster, they simply sat on the already translated volumes for months (years?).

light novels that aren’t about weak, emasculated male characters or some deus ex machina preventing characters from having sex.
I can name at least 4 (edit: 6) JNC titles off the top of my head where MCs have their nonexplicit sexy times (6 (edit: 8) including titles that are still not translated to that point). There are probably more than that.
Unfortunately, as it was stated before, there are reasons preventing them from delving into porn territory. Mainly payment processor, iirc. -

@wellwisher Honestly though, I don’t understand these payment processors and their logic when Patreon and other platforms are filled with NSFW content and worse.
Pretty sure it’s basically PR. They think allowing it would hurt their bottom line from the scandal they expect from moral authorities. When they can obfuscate it through an extra couple of layers, it’s all fine and dandy, but they don’t want to get any of the mess on them.
Not particularly interested in the series in question, though I agree that not having the option is just silly.

The reason payment processors avoid porn is because they have a much higher rate of getting back-charges because of stolen credit cards. It's less to do with the "morals" as much as it's been proven to be risky since it's one of the most common go-to for people to use stolen credit cards to pay for.

Going back to 80000 gold. Apparently 100% translated nearly a year ago now?
If true for what reason would they hold it back Considering digital releases aren't exactly expensive (when compared to physical book print) and assuming that it doesn't cost extra as per Co tract to release a new volume?
That doesn't make any sense, and is seems like a poor business practice to leave things on the shelf for so long in a completes state. -
