Synopsis: One fateful day, a girl time slipped into the Sengoku Era.It was an abrupt enough event to be dubbed god's whim, done to sate hellish boredom.

Just bumping it back to the front, and as for why I want this, I just want to read a historical fiction light novel of Japan’s Sengoku era with only a small fictional element in the story. No fantasy, no cheats, and no harems, just a modern girl who has to survive Japan’s civil war period with only her knowledge and skills under the rule of Oda Nobunaga.

@kite-xx It does look interesting, and it's something we don't have at all.
If you want something similar maybe give a try to https://myanimelist.net/manga/89413/Survival__Shounen_S_no_Kiroku it's not set in the past but both seems kinda similar, I readed the first 2 vol and they were quite good especialy the survival part. -
Wow, just caught up with the translated manga chapters, this is a so good kingdom building novel.
-
It'd be great if this one was picked up. I would buy these novels.

Where can you buy the manga?
The plot sounds interesting and exotic, compared to other light novels available on JNC. -
@serah The manga has not be licensed by any company outside of Japan.
-
@rahul-balaggan ah... it is really hard to tell whether that is the case or not, when someone mentions translated stuff. It made it sound it is already available somewhere.
-
I've been reading the fan translation recently, and I have to say its really good. I really hope an Official English translation can be made at some point in the future. I can always dream :p
-
I reached the Limit, I've been waiting for the Fan translation for years now. it seems like the fan translation barely progressed, I should have used all that time waiting to learn Japanese just to read this Novel... I really wish J Novel can License it and let us read this wonderful piece of art.
-
Looks pretty interesting.
I was amused that I looked at the first chapter on syosetu.com and it is list of history books author used for reference - 155 of them.
And right from the first (well, second) chapter, it looks pretty difficult to translate. Much more so than Bookworm.

Manga adapted 2 volumes of LN!
-
Yes! PLEASE! Someone has to translate this. It's an absolutely amazing series.
-
Yeah, a licenced version of novel or the manga would be an instant buy for me.
-
Someone needs to check in with the author on the status of the series. Earth Star (the publisher) just lost three of their biggest titles to Square Enix. It sounds like Earth Star might not be around for too much longer. Author might have to find a new publisher.
-
I cannot handle the wait anymore, Fan Translation are way too slow... this Novel is one of the main reason I'm trying to learn JP! :((
-
I really hope this light novel gets licensed by J-novel club.

I have been studying Japanese for close to half a year now just because I wanted to read the new Volumes released about this series.
Honestly, It is a massive massive gem overlooked and it feels criminal to be.
This story is not an isekai, it's a time-slip into the Sengoku era- the warring states, and one of the most interesting thing to me is the character developement of our MC, she starts out with simple ambitions to just make the life of those around her better not really caring too much. However as the plot progresses, she has to deal with the question: Should I change history? This part appeals to me so much because instead of having a passive MC who spends a major part of the narrative flip flopping, she is a person with strong convictions and from there decides her course of actions.
If anyone has read the 1632 novels then this will be up your alley.
This at heart is a Kingdom building novel, it is grounded on reality with a good dash of Dr.Stone technology. We won't see outrageous increases in technology but small but meaningful feasible steps towards the modern era, so no airplanes etc but think of better glass making infastructure, logistics transportation system (meiji era technology). We see interesting casts of characters with strong and interesting personalities such as Oda Nobunaga himself, her subordinates, those who's lives were made better by her.
The author did not write this book without research and it clearly shows. Although at the end of the day it is indeed fiction, but the clear passion but into the historical intricacies displays the dedication he has put in educating and entertaining us readers on the lives of those who lived during that period- with their trials and their achievements.
Every single technological leap is not done because it was Shizuko (MC) who single handedly ceafted the technology, it is with the soul of those she helped, those the believe in her and those that do not. Without the villager's trust she would've never implemented africulture improvements, without the craftsman she would've never made technological advancements and without the trust of those in power she would never have changed Owari.
There is so much more to say, but narrating it could never capture the immense feeling I have felt reading it. I implore you all to read this and if possible translated, the seires is still ongoing, I believe 12 novels now? It has not been lisenced outside of Japan.
So a better question is, Why not give this a shot?

@lyallkins your long explanation does make it sound appealing.. I'd be up for it for sure
