Find out what the The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan is as he learns that there are just as many troubles to deal with back in human society!
Then, we've got series about other worlds! Trainee chef Asuta finds himself trapped in another world where... the food sucks! He ends up Cooking with Wild Game to bring the joy of tasty eats to the otherworld people, unknowingly having a huge impact on society there! Next, regular company man Shouzou somehow hooks up with an actual goddess and builds a perfect life from himself... until their entire home is transported to a fantasy world! But now, it's time! Middle-Aged Businessman, Arise in Another World!
Finally, a couple meta series about light novels, manga, and anime! In the distant future of My Little Sister Can Read Kanji, kanji has been lost, and all books are romcoms about little sisters and their non-blood-related older brother figures. But when aspiring writer Gin brings his little sister Kuroha to TOKYO, it turns out she can read the ancient writing form of kanji and finds out that there are actually other types of fiction! Then, closer to modern time, a wormhole has opened between Japan and a medieval fantasy world. Rather than march in with military force, the government sends Shinichi, an otaku shut-in, to start the Outbreak Company and conquer them via anime and manga instead!!!
That's around 40 volumes for members to read, so get comfy and dive in!

Anyone who hasn’t read Outbreak Company, I highly recommend giving it a try. One of my favorite series.

3 series I'm already caught up on and one that I have been buying the books for. And then middle-aged business man which doesn't interest me see all.
I really have been striking out with catch-ups the last couple months! 😅

To me, Magicmaster is a B- to C+ quality series and I seem to recall it being one JNC picked up as a favor to the publisher. The first volume was cliched but still mildly entertaining so I might still read it while waiting on the delayed Yen Press releases. It's closer to Chrome Shelled Regios (a decent anime) than to Sky Wizards Academy (a painfully bad anime).
I liked the Outlook Company anime but I fear that my otaku level is way too low to appreciate the novel version.
I'll give Kanji a try since: why not?
Cooking With Wild Game is well done (heh) but is just not my cup of tea (ba-dum-tish).
Middle Aged Businessman was a nice change of pace but sadly the publisher or author decided not to continue the series.

I've heard the series gets much more interesting in volume 3. I haven't read that far myself yet, but it's on my list.

@HarmlessDave I went into Cooking With Wild Game blind and it wasn't really my cup of tea at first either.... at first.
But after vol 2 it starts really taking off. And by vol 4-5 it gets even better. Surprisingly good characters and worldbuilding.
The main character comes across kinda annoyingly generic, but he slowly develops a little more personality over the series. And failing that, everything else more than makes up for it.

@HarmlessDave I'm biased (obviously) since I'm Magicmaster's editor, but the main character begins to show his human side and becomes more likable in vol. 2. I can honestly say I really enjoy the series now. You might want to give it another try. :-)

I'll second this, it starts a bit rough but improves as it finds its footing. You also start getting more world building and more info on the system of magic in use.
