Light Novel Collection & Haul
-
Newest edition to my collection
Honestly, short of YP hardcover releases these are the best quality Light Novels I own (and I own a lot)
-
@rahul-balaggan
What 'bout Vertical's release (I find their release quite the best so far)? -
@bloodygaikotsu I chose to single out Light novels specifically cause of them, anything with Nisio Isin‘s name on it can’t be held to the same standard.
That being said these are better then Vertical’s LNs, Seraph, Attack on titan and whatnot

Since I ain't interested in these franchises, never touched them.
The novels I got from Vertical are NisiOisiN, Lala Pipo, SEASON OF INFIDELITY: BDSM Tales from the Classic Master, Ami Sakurai's Innocent World.
I thought they just upped their game recently (since the other titles are pretty old in comparison) but it seems like they were giving NisiOisiN special treatment, huh? -
@bloodygaikotsu yeah super special treatment, like night and day.
Gonna say it once again for emphasis, if it has Nisio Isin‘s name on it you just can’t compare it to anything else. (In the overseas otaku market at least)

@rahul-balaggan
As Nishio fan, can't be unhappy about that lol~Well, I wonder how their other new non-LNs look like; after all, I haven't gotten The Dark Maidens yet to tell.
-
@bloodygaikotsu for some reason I can’t remeber what Dark Maidens feels like and it’s in the attic so I can’t check, Nocturne Of Remembrance & Shield of Straw both have this matte-ish feel to them it’s really rough and scratchy (in a good way?) Shield of Starw also has these actual slits in the front cover, makes holding it a bit strange but only for a moment
-
@rahul-balaggan
That sounds pretty cool, ugh, which ain't nice thing for my wallet...(been trying to hold back lately, after all.) -
This topic sure hasn't gotten much love recently.

@myskaros Is the spoiler supposed to be empty?
Edit: appears to be a bug.

Nice, I didn't know such a thread exists.xD
Currently I've got 34 J-Novel Club novels in my digital bookshelf (and another 6 preordered):
So far I only buy digital light novels from J-Novel club (all are premium ebooks). And besides a few japanese light novel series I don‘t own any other physical copies at the moment.
Please forgive me for not posting photos of them (and also of my german and japanese manga collection), but I'm often moving them between the boxes in our basement and my room (depending on what I'm currently reading, or what is complete, or still ongoing), because of this my bookshelfes contents are constantly changing and I'm slowly losing my overview. I just don't have enough store room in my room to store them all. I already have a small library of western novels in my room, so there isn't enough for all my manga and light novels. Unfortunately my parents don't allow me to store them elsewhere (besides some boxes in the basement), I'm fortunate that they are already quite tolerant about me reading this stuff, so... -
@piisfun Just in case, reuploaded to imgur instead of ripping the image straight off Twitter.
-
@myskaros Oh, sorry, I forgot to respond. The browser's optional security function was blocking it because of the source being associated with social media. Just the thing being overly strict.
This may have been what happened with that gaming post of yours where I noticed the same thing.
-
@piisfun Yeah, I'll just start uploading to imgur from now on :< seems generally more reliable anyway, since sometimes SNS images can't be hotlinked.
-
Even though I can't post photos of my whole collection, I can post photos of my latest addition to it too:
-
My collection is overwhelmingly digital and shoujo/josei. Don't believe the bookmark positions or read/unread, because BW hates me.
-
@gmkz There are quite a few novels in your collection I want to see getting licensed.xD
-
@Clarabelle There are quite a few novels in my collection that I'd love to translate! The only reason I haven't started suggestion topics for some of them is because I'm not sure if that's okay now that I have the Translator tag.
-
@gmkz Why don't you ask the staff, if it's allowed? Since you know these novels and also have probably read them (at least a part of it), you could probably make quite good suggestions with good reasons why they should get picked up. Or if threads for them already exists, upvote them and write that you would love to translate them.
