@terabyte technically the release date is the 28th of this month and even though by me in NY it’s the 27th it is the 28th in Japan and other parts of the world.
So in a few hours those people who pre-ordered on amazon will get their copies and the premium editions will follow shortly after.
-
@rahul-balaggan I'm aware of the timezone issue, but what I wanted to point out is if that is still the correct date though. Usually it takes at least a couple of weeks after the last part for the ebook to be published. For example Realist Hero's last part was published on May 17 and the ebook is set to be published on June 1 (~2 weeks).
Ragnarok's volume 2 last part was published on May 21 (it was delayed since the number of parts increased from 8 to 11), and the ebook is still set to be published on May 28, that makes it only 1 week for the editor to fully re-check it and go through the whole Q&A process.
-
@terabyte that is the release day when an amazon release date is set it is set in stone, there is literally no option for delays.
-
@terabyte You can also verify it by checking .co.jp version of Amazon (or European ones) or the listed filesize. If delaying was an option they probably wouldn't make staff do like a third of a volume in a week as they did with parts 10+11.

@sam-pinansky I think something went wrong with "The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar: Volume 2" as I get the following error when trying to download it:
{"error":{"name":"Error","status":500,"message":"ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/home/deploy/ebooks/the-master-of-ragnarok-blesser-of-einherjar-volume-2.epub'","errno":-2,"code":"ENOENT","syscall":"open","path":"/home/deploy/ebooks/the-master-of-ragnarok-blesser-of-einherjar-volume-2.epub"}}
A typo in the file name maybe?

@helge-könig
Premium E-Books has a delay of a maximum of 24 hours before it gets uploaded. It might get uploaded later or tomorrow and as long as it's still not uploaded you'll be receiving the same error every time you try to download it. -
@bartzbb Then somethign else went wrong, because if the premium is not out, the download button is blanked out, which is not the case for me. The last time this happened, was when a typo was in the filename.
-
@helge-könig
Maybe, but that error also appears when I try to download a Premium E-Book when it was not uploaded yet. I can't sat for sure what the problem is but that error basically says "The file your downloading does not exist". It could be that it has not been uploaded yet or probably the filename is wrong. -
@bartzbb Premium should be ready tomorrow, sorry about the slight delay, we had a super shortened cycle to get the ebook out for this volume because of... reasons.

I can’t purchase credits. The purchase credits page looks like this on chrome in an iPhone:
The behavior is he same on safari for iPhone and chrome for windows 10.
Edit: solved before I could figure out how to get the image to link properly
-
@drawkcab the grey spot that says MAX 10 is an entry field you have to put a number in there
Then the BUY FOR $0 changes to represent what number you put in the grey field
10 credits = $60*
*for premium members

@rahul-balaggan
Thanks, that worked. I had no idea that was a text box -
Site no longer works on Google Chrome? WTF?
-
@kingkillerx Try doing a forced refresh, Ctrl+F5, or clear your cache.
-
Apparently was cache, not sure what did that when I wasn't even using the browser between now and reading the last release of Unwanted Undead but whatever. Thanks.
-
I'm using Mac version 10.12.6 (16G1314) with Safari
With the font full sized up occasionally some of the words run together from one page to the other (overlap) and they can't be read.

Navigating the site on my kindle tablet, I notice it doesn't load when I use "open in a new tab" on a link in an already open tab.
I thought I remembered reporting this before and it being fixed at some point. So if I'm not mistaken about it having been fixed, it looks like whatever the cause was is back.
-
@hatguy12 Try fully reloading the first tab. Probably due to a main site code upgrade.
-
@sam-pinansky I just tried closing all tabs and clearing "storage," which I believe is the relevant cookies/temp files on kindle. The problem still persists.
Some additional observations (I'm no longer sure it's a "new tab" issue): Clicking refresh on an already properly open tab also causes that page to go white (not load properly). There are no issues when navigating to the forums.
I haven't tested this fully, but it seems that trying to reach a page I just visited when not following direct links from an already loaded jnc page results in it not properly loading.
For example, if I type in the url for Dendrogram part 3 and click enter, it doesn't load since I've visited that page after clearing my cache. But if I enter Dendrogram part 2, it works, and then I can use that page to navigate properly to part 3. But then if I try to go back to part 2 via direct url, it no longer works. (Again, the forum doesn't have this issue no matter how many times I navigate to it.)
There are a few times it seems to not load when I'd expect it to by those rules, but most of it seems to be described as above.
Edit: It looks like I don't encounter an issues when running the browser in a private window. I don't know if that means I failed to clear my cache properly, or if the private window prevents it from downloading some cookie that messes it up.

@sam-pinansky Alright, I borrowed a duplicate of my kindle device (that had never visited the site) and went through some tests visiting j-novel pages. It looks like everything works fine on the new device.
So I must not have successfully cleared my kindle's cache. Now I just need to look up how to actually do that.
