Reader in the App not hiding status bar anymore (Android)

For about a month now while reading on the app on Android it's no longer hiding the status bar at the top of the screen.
Tried clearing cache and reinstalling app but it still happens. The status bar hides in other apps.

I'm having the same issue! It started after the latest update, everything was fine before that. It’s not a huge deal, but honestly, it's very annoying. I hope it gets fixed soon!
