Er, you know that 6 physical books are out, with 7 releasing in a week, right? >.>

@myskaros I uh... do, now? I lost track somewhere. Thanks.

Question about the physical books since I only ever bought two from amazon and they were from YP(Spice and wolf LN volume 6 and manga volume 7 was a mistake š¢ for the manga at least). Either way my question is; Does the Grimgar LNs come wrapped in see through wrapping plastic? Iām not going to actually read them, since I did already digitally. I just love Grimgar so much Iād love to buy the physical book just to look at next to my PS4 or next to my desktop. I hate when pages get dusty so I would keep em untouched if they do come wrapped up. Also I canāt remember how the YP books came, it was a while ago.

@hyferzftw I don't believe any light novels come plastic wrapped by default.
-
@hyferzftw They don't, at least not from Amazon. The only books I've gotten from them that was shrink-wrapped are manga with particularly risque contents.

This is now officially posted on the homepage. First post updated with Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash & How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom.

Added August 2018 titles: Mixed Bathing in Another Dimension & My Big Sister Lives in a Fantasy World.
I wasn't expecting to see a complete series listed for catchup.
-
Nice. I haven't finished Big Sis yet. Maybe I'll get to that this month (going to be a lot of series to finish for September 15th I think though).
-
Iām surprised Second Path has never had a catch-up month yet. Though I guess since itās just 2 volumes and we have no news on volume 3, thereās not much to ācatch upā to haha.

@terabyte Sweet I've been waiting for Mixed
-
I'm going to read Mixed Bathing but I'm unsure about big sister because from what I heard I won't like the ending. Do you guys think it's still worth reading?
-
I bought the first four or five and read the rest on prepubs as I'm a premium.
I think they're fun, but yeah, the end is a bit eh. I think unless you can't turn your brain off on some bits, skip it. It has some great bits, but the end story is just annoying, if not as annoying as Demon King Daimou.
-
I liked Big Sister quite a bit, anyone who hasnāt read that should check it out.
I havenāt read Mixed Bathing yet, so Iāll probably try to get to that. Iāve been surprised at some of the positive reviews, so Iāll go in with an open mind.
-
@lazyproblems Yeah, I've read quite a lot of positive reviews about it too. The only negative thing I've read about is that the author is really slow in getting new volumes out.

It's basically a fairly standard story about someone who gets summoned into another world and gets an unusual ability set that he manages to use in creative ways to solve problems. It's just that the protagonist has this weird mental association of "to be friends, we must bathe together".
The other characters also think it's weird, but mostly in a "well, that's just a little eccentric" kind of way, rather than "wait, what?" So it ends up feeling like the author went looking for a random title generator for their light novel, came up with "Mixed Bathing", and ran with it. It helps if you just think of it as the protagonist's little odd ritual of friendship, especially since he doesn't seem to obsess over the fanservice (at least for now).
Personally I like it because the story handles the other summonees well. They come across each other now and again, and they get along and interact with each other as characters of their own, rather than plot devices. For example, the protagonist can't really handle the summonee who's the Traditional Hotblooded Hero, but that's just because the Hero is kind of impulsive and dumb, rather than because he's a bad person, and they're quite friendly with each other. The girl on most of the covers is the Saintly Heroine type of summonee, and probably the one who supports the protagonist the most. (There's also mention of an Otome Game Heroine summonee, but we haven't met her yet.)
-
@terabyte I have to agree with that second statement, sigh. I was really surprised how much I came to love Mixed Bathing, seeing as I avoided it for the longest time bc I judged it by the covers. And while yes, there are ecchi moments due to the bathing scenes, it is ironically a very wholesome series. The MC won't do anything without the girls' permission and consent.

As funny as Big Sis is most of the way through, that ending annoyed me so I'll probably reread Mixed Bathing, if I have time to reread anything.
-
@smashman42 Neechu's ending was anti-climatic, to put it mildly. I'm too busy reading all the new stuff to re-read anything right now, but if I were it would be Mixed Bathing.
