Assassins Pride

The Manga that is available is really good. The story is interesting, I do hope the LN gets picked up.

Just came across this LN in a coworkers pile he bought while he was in Japan on holiday. This seems like a really interesting series. Would be nice to see it and Chivalry get licenses soon.
-
I found the manga of this to be an interesting enough read so getting the light novel would be a good thing.

@caramelwithoutthesalt yeah it’s like free advertising for English licenses. Well IDK if LNs with different adaptations cost more to license so maybe not.

I remember filling in surveys every month for this and KimiSen. KimiSen Thankfully got licensed but this one is still out there and I hope we will see it licensed.
I guess a big part in whether to license it or not right now lies in how well the anime does, so I hope it turns out good.
This is a interesting story with a little bit of everything in it, I think it would sell well.

With the anime drawing closer and closer, I pray that this is in JNC upcoming title line up.
-
sounds like a unique premise, I'd like to see JNC snag this one

I'd love to see this get adapted. I've read some of the manga, and I love the setting and the story so far. Here's hoping that the anime draws some attention.
-
I was really hoping to see this as a license announcement in Seven Seas recent licensing event; however, they didn’t even license anything even remotely close to this or any action/romance series which is really sad. I would love to see this series get an official English license.
-
In before, Yen Press licenses it and the books are stuck in limbo
-
I actually would really like to see this LN's translated, it seems to be an interesting story

I was looking on Novel Updates and noticed that this has the same Japanese Publisher as Amagi Brilliant Park (Fujimi Shobo), which I know J-Novel is releasing. So does that mean that J-Novel should be able to license Assassins Pride if they wanted to, since they've gotten a series from that publisher before? If that's the case that would be great if JNC picks it up, as they're translating speed it awesome. Although YP wouldn't be the end of the world. Anway, I just noticed that similar publishers so maybe we'll get lucky and JNC will pick it up from them. The more I've seen from the anime, the more I want this series to get picked up. I want to learn more about the MC and see what the future holds for him and his "student".

It means there is one less potential obstacle, it doesn't mean anything can be guaranteed.

Yen (or the corporation ownership thereof I.e. Hachette and Kadokawa )have deep pockets. And that often seems to mean that if they want to market a particular title (especially one that Kadokawa licensed the anime of) they’ll get to. This title not being under Kadokawa, means that JNC at least has a chance, not necessarily that JNC ‘can get it if they want it’. Of course the cost/terms of the deal are unknowns -
I wonder, how many (other than Danmachi) titles that YP license are not Kadokawa anime/LN/manga?

@jon-mitchell
You can look it at r/lightnovels wiki. Not counting game-related stuff, about 1/5. -
a slight correction Fujimi Shobo (publisher of Assassin’s Pride & Amagi) is a subsidiary of Kadokawa
