Report (old) App Bugs Here!

@sam-pinansky Probably, it can be hard to tell when using the app on a tablet using a smaller font size. The paragraphs are easier identified using the app on a phone.

@animej Could you tell me a few examples of which ones? Did it matter if you changed the font size in one of the prepubs that worked and then went back?
Also what do you mean by unreadable? As in, they wouldn't load more than 1 page?
Changing the font size doesn't seem to have any effect on whether or not I can read beyond the first page. Here's a few that weren't working:
- Gear Drive V1-6
- Realist Hero - V7-4
- Veight - V1-5
- Undead Adventurer - V3-2
Is it possible that this issue is tied to the resume function? I'd read all of those before going to the beta, and I just checked Last Idol's most recent (also read in non-beta version), and resuming allows for page turning, but exiting and choosing to not resume does not allow for page turning.

What happens if you change from swipe mode to scroll mode?
-
@shiny It still won't go further than what is already on the screen
-
Can reproduce "pages won't flip with small fonts" thing, too, but maybe you need a hdpi or big-sized device for that.
- Clear app data
- Open NeeChu (the first part in the list), pages can be flipped
- Go to the first page, set font to micro size, pages can't be flipped anymore, CPU is at 0% and nothing ever happens
Also tried on a smaller device. Flipping with small font works but all of illustrations and most of thumbnails won't show. And the pop-up menu is still confusing as hell. Good thing it's not a public release, I guess.

Since last night my Samsung Note 8 beta app cannot load any chapters. I can go and look at the newest updates but when I click on a chapter to read its just on a forever loading screen (not even the pagnation)
-
@bryan Your log in token has expired, logging out then back in should fix this issue.
-
@animej Hmm, sounds like something like an out of memory error? I would think that would crash the app though itself.
-
Some images are not loading at the list and not a single one inside the chapters/parts.
I was having this issue with the old app, so I downloaded the test version today and it's still the same.My phone is a Sony E2363 running Android 5.0 with JNC latest test app version.

On a tablet with 4 GB of RAM, and no apps open, that would take an insane memory leak.

I'm on the beta app on a Lenovo TB-X704V with a snapdragon 625, 2 gigs of RAM, running Android 7.1.1. I'm having two problems. First, no images are loading in the chapters. For first chapters of a volume I can often see the cover illustration but that's it. None of the illustrations inside the books are visible. Second, on the latest chapter of undead adventurer it is frozen on the first page of part 2 of volume 3. I can't swipe in side to side mode and I can't scroll in long form mode.
Edit: I read the chapter in my browser then went back to the app and tried to read it again. When asked if I wanted to resume I clicked yes and it took me to the end of the chapter and behaved normally except I can't swipe to the first page. It stops at page 2 and acts like that's the first page.

So I think we've figured out what the issue is with parts not loading beyond the first page on large tablet devics... Basically we coded it where it paginates the first 15% of the book (or 15% from where you resume to). But if the page was big enough and/or contained enough text, that limit would actually all fit on the current page, and since there wasn't any page beyond that page to scroll to, nothing would trigger the pagination of more pages.
It was a bug on the calculation of completion percentage based on page height and we fixed it.As for images still not loading, I'm going to try largeHeap and hardwareaccleration false and see if that helps. It seems to be opengl texture memory issues, perhaps?

Large heap doesn't sounds like a solution if ten thumbnails are enough to kill it. (On a small-ish Snapdragon 410 device).
Also, latest release page shows over hundred thumbnails properly (on a big Snapdragon 800 device) while rokujouma's dies after like 30. -
@_08 they use identical code I think that sounds strange. Is that true for other series part listings with a lot of results like the series on catch up?
-
@sam-pinansky Stops working after a couple of volumes. Just double-checked previous version and it certainly works properly.
Re: identical code. Cloudfront personally hates me, so maybe you should try testing on 2G or something. And maybe fix those thumbnails.

I was having the same issue with the beta as @Bryan , I was able to browse tha catalogue, but when I tried to open a chapter it would just load forever. Today I opened the member tab and realised I was logged out - after logging in chapter loading works again.
I guess the issue was then that I was logged out, but there was no indication of that anywhere in the app, except for the member tab. Also, it would also be nice if the app didn't log me out randomly (the old app did this as well)
-
@zemepanadi We've fixed this in the new version internally.
If a part doesn't load with an error it will now log you out locally and push you to the login screen again. -
@Sam-Pinansky Can you let us choose how we want to interact with the menu with all the font size etc.? Right now its pull down from the top, but sometimes I just want to check the time when im reading and it always triggers that menu. Can we choose to open the menu with long hold on screen instead or something else?
-
@bryan the new version switches it to a tap the top part of the screen to open menu version, so you can check the time by swiping down from the top edge on iOS for example.
-
@sam-pinansky thanks but now my notifications and time is always on top and is a grey line when in night mode. Can you make the top auto hide again?
Edit: Sorry nvm I just had to reopen the app.
