Report (old) App Bugs Here!

Not a huge deal, i just know to use the web app lol, i can still view it on my phone from the webpage, so i will just do that from now on. Just figured i should point this out.

The iOS app used to have this problem as well, where the paragraph immediately before every illustration is removed. I believe this was fixed by switching to “simple mode” on iOS, but then some instances of italic sentences became corrupted into just “>em em<“ or something similar. So neither mode was perfect. Don’t know if that it is the situation with Android.

Samsung S10
Frequent cutting off of last word in a paragraph with font Alegreya. Does not seem to occur with other fonts.
I am having the exact same issue with my S10+
-
When reading Spirit Chronicles, I feel like I miss some lines of text wherever a picture turns up like the pictures are blocking them or something, one or two times were really noticeable because next page had someone answer someone who hadn't spoken before the picture at all.
My settings are all default on the app btw, on android. -
@darkapostle Is the beta version of the app still available for Android? It might have fixed that bug. It also used to be on iOS some time ago.
-
@legitpancake Im pretty sure I've got the latest version of the app on my phone.
-
Setting up my S10+ today, and JNovel is gone from the Play Store. Not even in my library anymore.
-
@Goober Just checked and can confirm the same on my OnePlus 5T.
-
The issue has been reported, but will probably take some time to resolve (it is currently Sunday in the states so it isn’t a business day)

Android app update on March 9. I guess with this and the Coronavirus, it truly is a sign of the end times....
-
Android 9 (ColorOS 6), Oppo Reno Z
- Books take ages to load, if they load at all. Quite often it just stays on "Reticulating Splines" (or whatever the message is).
- The app doesn't take into account the teardrop for the camera, so you lose part of the top line, even when a book does load.
-
I'm having the same issue of chapters not loading and just staying stuck on "repaginating splines".
I'm using a Samsung Note 9

@Drazirach Your log in token has expired. Remove the instance of the app via the recent apps menu and reload to re enter your credentials.

@sniper_samurai Thanks! That seemed to fix it!

Is it just me but the novel club app on ipad/iphone resume feature stopped working for the past few weeks. In the past, you could resume reading from where you left off, but now it starts from the start. If you click resume, it takes you to the right percentage, but the underlying page is the start. If you turn pages, it reset to the start
-
@crowdcontrol Yeah, stopped for me too. Seems to be exhibiting the same issue as the Android app, same workaround too. Switch to night mode and switch back will move it near where it should be.
-
@sniper_samurai I think they changed something during one of those website updates, so it no longer sync with app. I could still reading chapters fine on the website, it still remember where I left off and resume still work. I think the fonts you pick sometimes no longer work

It would be too impressive if they managed to update API in a way that breaks official app but not unofficial ones. The app was probably broken from the start and started to hitting an edge case or something.

@_08 Is there a better unofficial app for ipad? I could only find one for windows and andriod
