@legitpancake
In before Sol Press steals all the Overlap requests. -
@myskaros I think there should be a different way to split up the groups than just "Titles with official English versions (anime, manga, etc.)" and "Titles that are purely Japanese". It will cause some suggestions to be hidden as some people may ignore the first category thinking "It is already translated" when the Light Novel has not been licensed and translated.
-
@malloc I mean, this is literally the LN suggestion forum where none of these LNs are already translated. I don't know why anyone would ignore a huge list based on a preconception.
-
@myskaros I guess I misinterpreted that first list from the title itself too then. I thought it WOULD include suggestions that have already been translated since the title of that group doesn't exclude it.
-
@malloc No one has suggested any series whose LNs are already licensed/released in English. I seriously have no idea what you're talking about.
-
@myskaros
Malloc was mistakingly thinking that the Series that have other English versions (anime, manga, etc.) section was referring to light novels already licensed or fan-translated. It was an honest mistake I think. -
I guess...? Again, this being the license suggestion forum, there's no meaning in suggesting or keeping track of a series that's already licensed.
In any case, I changed the header to Series with anime or manga available in English.
-
@myskaros I am thinking with 12 Announces coming soon we should have a category for LN that got licensed and by whom.
-
@drone205 I mean, all the other companies are probably going to announce some stuff too, so it'll be more than 12 :x
I'll consider it, but it might be better to link to reddit or somewhere that's already tracking this stuff.
-
@myskaros
Son of a bitch. That moment where you (I) realize that you're gonna have to update the release wiki to accommodate 12+ new series.Sam, when you announce your licenses, please give me a release date so I don't have to frequently check. It's easier to manage stuff that has a release date than stuff that I have to put in TBA and check back regularly. (I'm the only one updating that big calendar, volunteers welcome.)
-
@aruseus493 Do you have a straight list of titles that are licensed on r/lightnovels? I took a cursory look and didn't see anything, just the release schedule.
-
Nope, don't have a straight list of all licenses. I typically just try to keep 1-2 volumes ahead of the latest released volume and everything without a release date goes into the TBA section.
At the end of each month, I try to make sure that every series that got a release that month has the next volume listed on the release wiki.
-
If and when any of the suggestions in this sub forum are licensed by JNC or any other company I will lock their respective topics and just note that it was licensed as such and such.
-
@rahul-balaggan
The dream is for every one of my threads to be locked for this reason. :3 -

Tnose are pretty good and i didnt see them on the list. Dont think they have offircial translations yet.
You can make your own recommendation threads then for each of them.
-
@a-tactu-mortem Yep, as Drone said, the purpose of this list is so that people know what has already been recommended in order to avoid making duplicate topics. If it's not on the list, it means you're free to create a new topic and entice people to support a series you like!

@hyperion I just want to be sure, are KODOKAWA and Enterbrain the same company?
