Anime Expo: Times and Announcements
-
So happy to see that Kokoro Connect and Amagi Brilliant Park are licensed! Especially Kokoro Connect, as I've been wanting it since I watched the anime. Also super excited about J-Novel Club publishing physical books. I read digital books here and there, but I mostly like to read physical. I'll definitely pick up Smartphone when it releases. It's been one I've been meaning to check out anyway. ^_^
-
have there been any announcements from other publishers about novel pick ups, i don't really know where to look to find out.
-
@catstorm Most of the other publishers have their panels on Saturday or Sunday.

Nothing I've noticed novel wise (as long as you kept up with Cross Inf World's stuff a little while ago).
Elfen Lied manga is coming from Dark Horse.
If you're into "visual" novels, there's been some announcements there too (Spike Chunsoft stuff).

Any news on anyone picking up Class Room of the Elite? I feel I ask this too much. But I really wanted to get a legit translated LN.

@myskaros oh lol I guess I skipped that comment. But Saturday and Sunday is good cuz I’m off those 2 days. Can’t wait!
-
Was there a fan taping of the meeting, or was there a no recording rule in effect for j-novel's panel?
-
@alocervancouver If you mean the JNC panel, there's a Periscope: https://twitter.com/jnovelclub/status/1014956009658331136
If you mean something else... I don't think anything else interesting has happened in the past day :x the "So you want to be a translator?" thing starts in ~5 minutes, Kodansha/Vertical panel is tomorrow, YP/7S panels are on Sunday.
-
Mangagamer panel tonight. This will likely be visual novel focused, so I won't add it to the OP.
MangaGamer: Lastly, we will be hosting our panel later this evening in LP3 from 11pm to midnight! We have some exciting announcements… https://twitter.com/MangaGamer/status/1015603437629657089?s=17
Idea Factory also has a panel.
IdeaFactoryIntl:
Don’t forget! Our Localization Team is having a panel for Anime Expo 2018 TODAY at 2PM PDT! https://twitter.com/IdeaFactoryIntl/status/1015667597642092544?s=17

Yeah, I can't connect to the Grimgar author session on my device. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the replay.
NVM, on now
-
5 Centimeters Per Second novel coming (from Vertical).
-
@terrence My favorite anime movie ever. Dammit vertical. Why won't you release on digital?? Well, I guess I'll just import all the current Monogatari volumes available along with it to make the shipping fees a little more bearable.

They released "Dark Maidens" digitally. Let's hope for the best.
-
So...no continuation for Zaregoto is announced?
-
@terrence I wish I was there today (only could take 2 days off work and sat and sun are my money days) so that I could attend the Vertical panel and directly ask them about digital. Reeeeeally want them to release all their stuff (novels, light novels and manga) digitally
