Please add paypal to this website, because its the only way for me to join the premium club, and i want to read the novels so bad right now.
-
same for me, i want to subscribe too but no payment via paypal.
-
You can get a pre paid visa or mastercard gift card. They are available in quite a few countries and would work on the site.
-
-
@jampodevral not everyone can open and willing to open credit card, not only the fee is big, even the procedures it's hard when you register it via local bank, even that link of yours i can't open it in my country.
-
@kelvinray If you have a visa or mastercard debit card on your bank account that can be used here for your subscription.
-
@kelvinray Did not realize it wouldnt open. That is not a normal credit card, anyways. It is a version where you pay the money up front to have it loaded onto your card and then you can use it as a credit card. It also runs completely through your paypal account so I was hoping it would be something that would be a simple fix.
Guess not. -
So whens PayPal getting added?
-
As of right now, no plans have been announced to add PayPal as a payment option.
-
Guess I'll continue not being a member then
-
I completely 'get' why a vendor wouldn't want to deal with PayPal. The fees per transaction are often higher than credit cards (to JNC) plus there are extra steps (and maybe more fees) to get money transferred to the operational bank account from the paypal account (whereas credit card transactions automatically go directly to vendor's bank account) Throw in that notall web platforms support paypal transactions and we are in a place where unless LOTS of customers demand JNC accept paypal--it just isn't going to happen

Just wondering if some more money is better than none

Check out Privacy.com
It allows you to create a 'virtual' credit card with a linked debit card or bank account. Cards can even be set up with monthly spending limits or even for 1 time use(burner).
Personally, I use it for AliExpress/similar places or sites that don't take PayPal.
-
I won't create a credit card. No deal there
-
@ephidiel Not sure if I follow, but it's not a typical credit card in the sense that you are opening a line of credit.
It will create a digital card, almost like a prepaid visa, that you would use at any online merchant that accepts credit cards. Except you don't preload or anything of that sort, it would just charge the checking/debit account you have linked. Very similar to PayPal.
Check it out, and if it's still not a possible solution, sorry couldn't help more.

It may not be worth trying to set up paypal depending on how much the fees are, especially since they seem to layer on even more fees if the buyer is "foreign" compared to the seller. Plus since paypal is not a bank, your money with them is not afforded the same government legal protections compared using an accredited financial institution.

Discussion is pretty much moot - JNC has chosen a payment processor (I think they said it was Stripe) that suits their company needs, and that processor is a competitor of PayPal. Because of that, they don't do PP transactions. To convert JNC to PP, you would have to convince them that PP is better than their current processor.
I know several people who have used both Stripe and PP on the vendor side of the transaction. I am told PP is too much of a pain to deal with. Even if you use a payment processor that accepts the PP transactions, your PP account can be frozen by PP at any time, for any reason. Have fun getting any money you left in your PP account when that happens.
I really don't know any of them that stuck with PP, unless they were selling on eBay.
If you've made "Accepts PayPal" an integral part of your online life, several retailers of JNC books accept it, and you don't HAVE to be a member to buy JNC books.
