Reflecting on my previous post.. I'm not sure that looking at existing translations is as much help as I thought since a lot of them are really bad and my last suggestion was pretty much also the first I encountered with at least average English writing, which might be swaying my opinion somewhat given that what I'm going to bring up now also happens to be the second in that category...
Realising that someone out there has been translating a book I had sitting there which I had bought largely for the cover (although IIRC I'd also looked at sample pages for the manga before buying both so it wasn't entirely a blind buy) and I've really enjoyed what I've now read of it. Assuming that's not just bounce back from all the rape and slavery etc. in a worrying amount of the titles I've researched while looking through sale titles on BookWalker.

i would like to see "Amagi Brilliant Park" translated, i've read the 2 first volumes and i liked the anime until i read the book and understood how much better it was before the studio got it's hands on it.

Really would like to see "Irresponsible Captain Taylor" picked up, it's a really old light novel series that had an old sci-fi comedy anime made from it. The novels continue where the anime left off.

Tbh I'd love to see Unbreakable Machine Doll get picked up. It's a long series so far at 15 volumes and robots in love with humans is entirely my jam.

I definitely second that one, though I don't know too much yet (I'm guessing it'll be more comedy than romance? I can just imagine the scenarios where she ruins things for her son by being there). ๐

I think the guy has a potential harem that the mother will ruin his chances of flirting with. Like, there's a scene in the trailer for the book of the mother
And I could totally see her trying to "help" him, but instead embarrassing him in front of the ladies (like showing them baby pictures, telling them about his hobbies, mussing up his hair before a date).
I hope the mother gets an older romantic partner too, but we'll see if this goes beyond simple pandering.
