@bloodygaikotsu I heard (well, read) the one that looks like a rip of Oregairu is a parody of it & apparently pretty funny (though that's very subjective of course)
The nerdy boy/popular girl one sounds interesting to me.
@Aruseus493 that chunni type one sounds bloody awesome!
-
@smashman42
That makes me even more interested in it (the so-called Oregairu rip-off).
I checked the reviews on Amazon Japan (with some help of Google Translation), some enjoyed it more than Oregairu and some just couldn't finish the book and some kept comparing the MCs... -
@aruseus493
Sounds like something I'll enjoy~
(Especially, I love Romcoms and there ain't enough of those) -
@cleveravi Yeah, I've read that one. The WN has been translated almost completely, I think only 5-6 chapters remain.

It's time for J-Novel Club to compete with Yen Press on comedy. I present Kono Sekai ga Game da to Ore dake ga Shitteiru which is a comedy series on par with KonoSuba in both style and hilarity.
Publisher: Enterbrain
Status: Ongoing (8/9 Volumes)
The premise of the series is that the protagonist is a cult game fanatic who plays what might be regarded the world's most buggiest VR game, Nekomimi Neko Offline. When he's suddenly cursed, he's sent to another world based off this game. With no way to log-out, he now has to set his sight on beating the game without dying. In a messed up game, the protagonist meets various characters and exploits his way to strength. Some aspects include a heroine that summons monster trains, skill leveling by bashing your head, and being called disgusting using broken skills.
Only one volume was ever fan-translated sadly and it's being translated by Nano Desu which means we can't expect more than one volume every 3 years if that. So I'd love it if J-Novel Club would license this series.
-
@aruseus493 That actually looks like something I would like to read
-
@aruseus493 that does indeed sound KonoSuba tier of hillarious, I second this.
-
@aruseus493
It sounds like a cool read
For me, the comedy that I really want is
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?Publisher:Ascii Media Works
I loved the anime and would love to get more of the series.
-
Or
Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu
Publisher: Enterbrain
-
Kuro no Maou a kinda dark one with yandere harem (mostly because several groups have started then stopped then gave another series...death mage more priority)
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? both really good series there are others but lets not be greed lol -
-
please, no yanderes, please. I’ve already read a few chapters from 3 WN series including yanderes, and can’t get into those stories with obsessive psychopaths with their deranged affection.
-
Yanderes? I'm always down for yanderes. They make any story better.
-
I would like to request Chrome Shelled Regios and the Fate Zero novels. Both are finished products in Japan and have had anime adaptations. Fate Zero is pretty well know and is a head scratcher that is it not licensed yet. Chrome Shelled Regios is a great sci-fi light novel series which deserves a English release and is one of my favorite light novel series.

+1

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu
- another 1
I'd buy Netoge 110% for sure, Baka to Test would depend on my credits/money situation
-
Will it turn into some harem of Yanderes?
-
@aris385
it's weird that there's no Type-moon novel here.
Well, most of them are published under Kodansha novels line.But I wonder who holds the rights, the publisher (Zero's publisher is Seikaisha) or Type-moon.
-
I never understood why the Type-Moon LNs have never been licensed in English. Heck, the Fate/Zero LN is available in Polish, but still no English, which would be a MUCH bigger market.
-
Today, I watched Yoru wa Mijikashi Aruke yo Otome and it made me wanna read the novel.
So, forgive me for suggesting weird titles~
Both are by Kadokawa.
Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei (Tatami Galaxy)
Yoru wa Mijikashi Aruke yo Otome

Sam actually worked on Tatami Galaxy anime subs iirc.
